    When Alan Jackson Concert Tour?

  • Alan Jackson is set to begin headlining shows in early 2023, ending a five-year plus break from the road.

The veteran country singer, Alan Jackson, has recently revealed his concert tour for 2023, despite not performing on stage for several years. The tour is planned to start in January and within several months Jackson is planning to perform in more than 20 cities of the USA.

Jackson is one of the most commercially successful country musicians of all time who has released 16 studio albums and has had over 80 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list. However, he has not toured since 2017 because of health problems: he was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, an autoimmune nerve disorder.

“I have definitely missed the road and the fans and I am looking forward to pulling the hat and boots back on again,” Jackson said. “This is something I want to do, and I feel blessed that at 63 years old, I’m healthy enough again to do what I love,” he said about the next tour which is going to be very special.

This, the comeback tour, will showcase Jackson’s repertoire of signature tunes that have shaped country music for more than three decades. Fans can look forward to the usual hits such as “Chattahoochee,” “Drive,” “Remember When,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” the unforgettable “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning,” and others, including album tracks. Jackson is famous for a more conservative approach to music and arrangements that can be compared to the good old country and southern style.

Tour stops are in the Southern region and Midwest which are Jackson’s home region and primary fan bases. Some of the cities include Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and Pittsburgh. Some of the depicted smaller cities are Huntsville in Alabama and Charleston in West Virginia. The show will be slightly less elaborate than that, but Jackson will still be playing concert venues with a capacity of 15,000-20,000 people for arenas and sheds.

Jackson has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, and he now stands in the same league with the other giants of country music such as Garth Brooks and George Strait. He has been awarded two Grammy awards besides over a dozen Country Music Association awards, including the Entertainer of the Year in 2002 and 2003, during his most productive period. Jackson also is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame which honored him in 2014.

Although the singer has not released an album with new material since “Angels and Alcohol” in 2015, Jackson is still actively writing songs and is highly regarded in Music Row. Some of the songs Jackson has written are for other artists such as George Strait, Randy Travis, and Eddie Rabbitt.

For an artist who could have slowed down much earlier, Jackson shows that he still has the burning desire to go on stage and perform for his devoted followers. The presales sold out rather fast, which indicated that there was already a good market for Jackson back on tour after having revamped himself. Besides, since country tours are still on the rise, Jackson’s coming back is also well-timed business-wise.

The list of songs and performers has not been revealed, but people expect that Jackson may pay homage to friends who recently died such as George Jones, and perform songs from the album that have not charted widely. One thing's for sure: For both the audience and the organizers, the 2023 tour will be an exciting and sentimental journey for everyone.

‘Well, we have a new show now and there are some interesting tricks up our sleeve,’ Jackson teased. This will be even more special when am on stage performing, looking at the faces of people in the audience with smiles on them, it is going to be a better year.

As he gears up for his new tour in 2023 after his much-awaited comeback, fans can still expect Alan Jackson to bring back the traditional country music and stories that have struck a chord with fans from all over the world. While other singers retire, Jackson is revving up for take-off and promising to bring his best for fans across North America in what may well be his last tour.
