    When Alt J Concert Tour?

  • Announcing Alt-J Concert Tour For 2023

British indie rock band Alt-J has unveiled a long list of 2023 tour dates in promotion of their latest record The Dream. The band which hails from Leeds, England is set to start their North American tour on the 1st of March in Washington D. C at The Anthem. They will then perform more shows in major cities on the East Coast and Midwest in March in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Chicago.

In April this year, the band is expected to move to the west coast for some dates that will see them move along the coast with Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and many others booked before the band moves back to the southwest and southern part of the country. A two-night show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, a show at the Shaky Knees Festival, BottleRock, and Hangout Fest will be held in May. Other dates are still planned for the summer and include the shows in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.

The band has not toured in North America since 2018 when they toured in support of their third studio album Relaxer. Their concert in 2023 will be the first chance for the audience to listen to new songs from The Dream Live. The Dream is Alt-J’s fourth studio album, and their first album since 2017’s REDUXER, which was released in February 2023. The album consists of 11 songs and has received numerous positive reviews from critics for its rather experimental sound that blurs the line between folk, electronica, and rock music. Songs like U&ME, Hard Drive Gold, and Get Better have resonated with the old crowd as well as the new followers.

The tour announcement happened after the UK tour ended in December 2022. Those shows formed part of Alt-J’s live comeback following the cancellation of the majority of the band’s touring in 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak. As for their 2023 tour, it will continue from where the previous dates would end, meaning that the audience will get to enjoy watching the band perform their cinematic songs and complex musicianship once more.

Since the band is known for making dramatic performances, especially on stage, and because the group has not performed for quite some time now, tickets for the shows will most definitely sell out. Tickets will go on pre-sale on Wednesday, January 18 at 10 a.m. local time, and there will be an artist pre-sale on January 17. Tickets will then be on sale to the general public starting from Friday 20th January. It could also differ from one market to another, but it could cost between $50-$150 for reserved seating.
