When Cage The Elephant Concert Tour?

  • Cage The Elephant is an American rock band that originated in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2006. The band comprises the lead singer, Matt Shultz, guitarists Brad Shultz and Nick Bockrath, bass guitarist, Daniel Tichenor, and drummer, Jared Champion. In the current decade, Cage The Elephant has risen to the top of the charts and is now one of the biggest rock bands thanks to songs such as “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked”, “Shake Me Down”, and “Come A Little Closer”.

Following the four successful studio albums, Cage The Elephant is planning to go back to the road in 2022. This is in preparation for the band's newest album called Social Cues which was released in the year 2019. Social Cues were slightly different for Cage The Elephant but this was apparent with more serious themes in the lyrics such as mental health issues and being an adult. Songs like “Ready to Let Go,” “House of Glass,” and “Black Madonna” were well-received by fans and critics.

Cage The Elephant is scheduled to start their 2022 tour on May 27, at Boston Calling Music Festival in Allston, MA. The band is one of the main acts of the three-day affair, with the band’s performance scheduled for Sunday night, May 29th. From there, Cage The Elephant will tour Europe in June with gigs at Rock am Ring in Germany and Mad Cool Festival in Spain.

In July, Cage The Elephant will be touring for a whole month across the United States and Canada, performing in amphitheaters. Some of the venues the tour will visit are Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, The Forum in Los Angeles, and Budweiser Stage in Toronto. During the tour, Cage The Elephant will be accompanied by Welshly Arms, a young blues rock band.

The tour will culminate on August 16th with the largest homecoming concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. It looks like a summer tour to remember and chock full of energy from one of the finest live rock bands.

Cage The Elephant has been around for 16 years and they are known for their wild performances with their singer Matt Shultz who likes to get lost in his dancing. Matt usually becomes quite engaged and he is seen jumping over the crowd or climbing some scaffolding when in the middle of the music. It is an exciting, live performance where the band has to react to the crowd’s response. Cage The Elephant concert-goers should be ready to groove through crowd-surfing, moshing, and cup songs.

Concerning the list of songs to be performed in this tour, the audience can expect Cage The Elephant to perform most of the popular songs such as “Spiderhead”, “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Cold Cold Cold”. Of course, there will also be a lot of tracks from Social Cues, which will give fans a chance to hear some of those new songs closer. They have even been seen to occasionally perform some covers during their performances; some songs they have covered include Pixies’ “Where is My Mind” or OutKast’s “Hey Ya”.

Regardless of the songs chosen, one thing is for sure when watching Cage The Elephant: the concert will be full of energy, chaos, and fun. The intensity of the music and the performance raises Cage The Elephant to the level of the main attraction at the festivals and arenas. If you are an individual interested in enjoying the concert this summer, it is advisable to make a booking for this tour. It is seeing this highly energetic Kentucky rock band perform on stage, and do what they do best.

This means if you are an old fan or a new follower of Cage The Elephant and you would like to see Cage The Elephant on their 2022 tour you need to get your tickets soon. It looks like a set of spectacular concerts across North America and Europe all summer long. Whether it is watching them perform at a large festival or in one of the more small-scale amphitheaters, a Cage The Elephant concert is simply the definition of good live rock and roll. Just be prepared for Matt Shultz to go ballistic on the stage with dance moves and of course, rock the stage with amazing crowd surfing when the energetic sound of garage rock comes alive. It’s going to be an epic tour for one of the most energetic bands today.
