    When Chicago Concert Tour?

  • Chicago, with popular songs such as “25 or 6 to 4”, “Saturday in the Park”, and “If You Leave Me Now” has revealed plans for a headlining North American tour in 2023. It will start in January and end in August, including more than 40 cities in the United States and Canada.

The tour is named “The Second City Tour” in honor of the band’s Chicago origins and will mark the over 55-year history of the band’s activity. Chicago XI was released in 1978, and 2023 will mark the 45th anniversary of the album, which the band intends to tour and play through most of their concerts.

Chicago guitarist Keith Howland said in the statement: “We are thrilled to hit the road in 2023 and perform for all the dedicated fans across North America We have missed doing major tours for quite some time now and we have a great show in store for all the Chicago fans which will include Chicago’s hits from the early nascent years to Chicago Transit Authority all through to the later albums such as Chicago XI. ”

The Second City Tour is set to commence on the 12th of January in Greensboro North Carolina. Chicago will traverse the country during the next six months passing through such cities as New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, Toronto, and more before reaching Phoenix on August 5. Details of the specific tour dates and venues are given below.

The tour follows the band’s new music releases in 2022 after a period of inactivity that saw Chicago come up with almost no studio albums in the past ten years. Digital singles have recently been released in the form of “If This Is Goodbye,” “Raining at My Window,” and “Our Love Is Here To Stay. ” These new songs have received lots of airplay and streams from traditional rock stations and new audiences who may have not been previously familiar with Chicago.

In response to this question, Howland responded: “Absolutely. We are proud of our new music and are itching to play it live for our fans. At least 1 or 2 of the recent singles will be performed at every show, likely more. ” Besides the new songs and the performance of the entire Chicago XI album, Howland further states that there will be …the hits of the 70s …and “a few deep.

Based on the ticket sales, which have been opened in advance, it clearly shows that fans are eagerly waiting for the band to come back to the stage. It is noteworthy that eight performances have been sold out within days after the sale, including the Toronto, New York City, and Nashville concerts. Further dates are likely to follow the same trend and fans should ensure that they order tickets early enough before they run out of stock.

Therefore if you are a Chicago fan or a lover of great live Hall of Fame musical performances then ensure you plan your time to watch The Second City Tour next year. This is a chance for a memorable concert from one of the most iconic American bands still active after more than fifty years of performing. Don't miss out!
