The pop duo is composed of Daryl Hall and John Oates who are popular for their songs like “Maneater,” “Rich Girl,” and “Private Eyes” who have suggested that they may go on tour soon. As of now, the duo has not formally declared that they will be going on a tour but suggestions are derived from recent interviews that the two have given.
The two singers who rose to fame in the 1970s and dominated the mainstream pop charts throughout the 1980s have been fairly active in touring throughout the more recent years. Their last tour ended in October 2021 after it was rescheduled from an earlier date because of the COVID-19 outbreak. During the appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in December 2021, John Oates shared that they were planning to return to touring soon. “We’re planning to tour again in 2022,” Oates said to Fallon. “Daryl and I are very fond of performing live, it gives you the vigor and energy of youth; we can’t wait to meet our fans out there again. ”
Hall repeated the same message in an interview on a radio station in January 2022 suggesting that a tour could be in the pipeline. “John and I have been itching to get back on stage,” Hall said. “Right now we are in the process of planning for a new show during the spring and summer period. More ‘ We should just wait and see!”
Considering these recent remarks, it appears almost certain that Hall and Oates will embark on a large-scale tour sometime in the second half of this year. Gurus say that they will stage performances at both arenas and amphitheaters across North America, as they did on their previous tour. Concerts by Hall and Oates will likely feature in New York, Chicago, Toronto, or Los Angeles among other cities.
On the timing front, fans can likely look forward to a tour announcement in January or February 2022 for a tour happening in the summer of that same year. Spring and summer are the best touring times for heritage acts such as Hall and Oates, who remain popular among the baby boomers who grew up with them and millennials who might be interested in their music.
