    When Dirty Heads Concert Tour?

  • The Dirty Heads is a reggae rock band that originated from Huntington Beach California in the United States of America. The band was formed in 2003 and features Jared “Dirty J” Watson on vocals, Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell on vocals/guitar, David Foral on bass, Jon Olazabal on percussion, and Matthew “Matty O” Ochoa on drums. Their most famous songs include “Lay Me Down,” “My Sweet Summer,” “Vacation,” and “Celebrate” with The Unlikely Candidates.

The band had to cancel touring in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak affecting most shows, but they came back on a headlining tour in the summer of 2021 across North America. The outing toured amphitheaters and arenas with openers including Sublime with Rome, SOJA, and HIRIE on select shows.

The 2021 tour began on July 29, at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California. This was the first time the band was back on stage since February 2020 and they came with a lot of energy and passion, starting the show with fresh songs like “Tropical Depression” and “Lonely Girl”. Such classics as ‘Stand Tall’ and ‘That’s All I Need’ had everyone singing in harmony as well. By the time of this run, Jon Olazabal, the percussionist for the band, had to take some time off from the stage due to an arm injury; however, Matt Ochoa and the other guys were always keeping the energy up every night.

Up to August, the Dirty Heads had played significant concerts including the FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, California which is in proximity to Los Angeles, and Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. In September it was time for the band to head down to Texas for shows in Houston and Dallas and then some more shows in the midwest including a gig at Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion and then performing at the first-ever North Coast Music Festival in Chicago.

Some of the largest venues of the tour were visited in October, including the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater near Denver with Slightly Stoopid. Later that same month, the Dirty Heads also had a massive performance at The Armory in Minneapolis. In Arizona, the band performed two nights at downtown Phoenix’s Crescent Ballroom.

After the warm weather started fading towards the end of October going into November the group was to bring the fun in the sun feel of their music through the southern part of the United States with performances in Orlando, Tampa, and St. Augustine in Florida. They also target large cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, and Norfolk. New York fans were treated to the Dirty Heads as they performed two shows as part of the concert series at the new rooftop venue of Pier 17. However, the tour went ahead through the northeast with concerts scheduled in Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Boston among others.

In December 2021, the Dirty Heads will bring another sensational nationwide concert tour to a close with a series of three performances in Las Vegas on December 27th, 28th, and 29th at the Pearl Concert Theater which is part of the Palms Casino Resort. Concerts in San Diego and Los Angeles before the holiday season will precede the last performances of the year.

Another place that Dirty Heads frequented was the festival scene in 2021. The band was included in the lineup and performed during such festivals as Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Firefly Music Festival in Delaware, and Ohana Festival in California which is hosted by Dustin Bushnell’s friend, Eddie Vedder, from Pearl Jam. But after a series of concerts, these weekend music celebrations provided a great environment for the Dirty Heads to rock it up.

As we look forward to what the future holds for 2022 and beyond, the Dirty Heads plan to bring more high-octane shows for the fans as they continue to promote their 2020 release “Super Moon”. This was their first album recorded under Grammy award winner Dave Cobb known for working with other artists such as Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, and David Ferguson which sort of changed the direction of the band.

Thus if you don’t have their ticket yet, this is your chance to catch this unique reggae rock band touring in 2022 spreading their carefree California spirit across the country. This band is always ready to bring lots of singing along with that unique combination of hip-hop verses, punk attitude, and acoustic guitars accompanied by reggae beats. It provides a novel musical experience that should not be lost!
