    When Drake Concert Tour?

  • Drake can be said to be one of the most popular musicians in the music industry right now. The Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter has been dominating the music scene and filling concert venues after his debut in the late 2000s. The latest album he was able to release was Certified Lover Boy, which ranked among the most popular albums of 2021. And every time Drake embarks on a tour, it is a big thing, which people scramble to get tickets for.

But when is Drake planning to go for his next concert tour? For now, he has not publicly declared any tour that will take place in 2023 and further on. His last big concert was the Assassination Vacation Tour in promotion of his 2018 album, Scorpion. That tour took place from January 2019 to October 2019. It impacted arenas all over North America and Europe and it was reported by Billboard Boxscore to have grossed over $85 million.

Since it has been a while since Drake’s last full-length concert tour fans are often waiting for the information on his next tour. This was expected to be accompanied by the announcement of a 2023 tour after the release of the album Certified Lover Boy. But so far there is nothing much that has come out from the side of Drake.

Drake is probably not too far away from announcing the next world tour with concerts across the globe. They are always grand events and his tours are simply out of this world. In his latest tours as the Would You Like A Tour and Summer Sixteen Tour, Drake used a specially built stage with elements such as fireworks, lights, floating spheres, and others. He invites guest stars and typically performs songs with video interpretations referencing his latest record.

We know that Drake has not personally announced any new concert tour, but based on the available facts, it can be deduced that he will soon embark on a tour in support of Certified Lover Boy. Some industry insiders believe that an official tour could be revealed around mid-2023, with shows to then happen in late 2023 or early 2024.

Meanwhile, Drake has been performing occasional live concerts and shows as well as festival stints. He also performed a headline show at the OVO Fest in October in Toronto. Other performances may include call-in performances and special appearances from artists such as Justin Bieber. He also recently performed shows in New York and Arizona. These types of shows enable Drake to perform big spectacular concerts in between his tours.

Whenever Drake is ready to start his next tour, fans should prepare to see the Canadian rapper touching all major cities in North America including New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles, among others. He would possibly stay in cities such as Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, and Oakland consecutively when touring as has been the case in the past. He’s likely to go through major European cities that he has connections with such as London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

Drake’s tours also usually have very particular and unique opening acts. In his previous tours, he has invited artists like Migos, Future, and Meek Mill among others. Speculations for the opening acts for the tour if it happens in 2023 include Giveon or Smiley. Or he could seek the partnership of a tried and tested superstar such as Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. It is for this reason that fans are always keen on identifying the artists that Drake selects to accompany him on stage.

Having five consecutive Billboard number one albums, Drake will have ample hit old and new tracks to incorporate into the next tour. He will most definitely be performing hits such as Hotline Bling, God’s Plan, and Laugh Now Cry Later which everyone listens to with word-to-mouth knowledge. Still, he could intersperse it with new Certified Lover Boy tracks such as ‘Way 2 Sexy’, ‘Girls Want Girls’, and ‘Champagne Poetry’. And like always, there is a likelihood that Drake could debut new songs on the tour.

Regarding Drake himself, the timing of when he announces that there will be a new tour, but the signs are that there should be one in 2023. There are very few artists that have the same amount of fans and people looking forward to their concert as soon as it’s announced as Drake. His tours are social happenings that capture and transform cities. So, his fans sit and patiently wait for the moment they will be able to get a seat during the next tour of Drake. They can expect him to come back to the stage soon with a sizzling new live show to tour with.
