Tickets for all the planned concerts are available now and they can be bought on the official site of Iron & Wine or any other ticket selling services. Since Sam Beam is known to be a mesmerizing performer and since the band has a large number of passionate folk-rock anthems, these concerts should be booked solid. Tickets are said to be available now and fans are advised to purchase them before they run out.

This upcoming tour will back the band’s recent studio album, Upward, Downward, Backward, Onward, released in September 2022. The record has been widely acclaimed by critics in a similar vein as yet another album of Beam’s profound and lyrical songwriting. 9 Songs such as ‘Your Ghost’, ‘So Ready for Your Cold Embrace’, and ‘Matilda’s Song’ highlight Beam’s mastery as a writer of poetic lyrics and an orchestrator of beautiful dark folk music.

Says the Upward, Downward, Backward, Onward Tour: the shows will feature songs from the new record as well as an assortment of tracks from the band’s seven full-length records. Considering Beam’s 20-year career as a singer and a band leader, the fans should be prepared for an emotionally charged journey through the layers of the band’s discography. Ever since Iron & Wine started gaining attention with songs such as “Naked As We Came”, “Jezebel”, and “Flightless Bird, American Mouth”, audiences have been enveloped in a gorgeous, melancholic soundscape of folk-rock. Given these aspects, it is common for the live versions of these songs to be rather breathtaking thanks to Beam’s resonant baritone and the tight harmonies of the group.

Since starting the music project, Iron & Wine, Sam Beam, and his bandmates have cultivated a loyal following of listeners who appreciate the group’s tender, poetic folk, and Americana music. Whether it’s a reunion of the first fans of Beam or newly-convinced audiences, the Upward, Downward, Backward, Onward Tour is expected to be another riveting demonstration of Beam’s songwriting and narrative capabilities. Past tours in support of albums such as Ghost on Ghost, Kiss Each Other Clean, and Beast Epic have all seen a high level of interest with sold-out shows. Everyone who enjoys music should mark the above-mentioned dates in their calendar and get the tickets as soon as possible for what should be an amazing series of shows.
