    When Is Aerosmith Touring?

  • Aerosmith Tickets is one of the most legendary bands in rock and roll history, as they have successfully performed throughout the years. Aerosmith was formed in Boston in 1970, and its members include Steven Tyler vocals, Joe Perry guitar, Brad Whitford guitar, Tom Hamilton bass, and Joey Kramer drums This band influenced the rock scene in the 1970s and contributed numerous popular songs such as ‘Dream On,’ ‘Walk This Way,’ ‘Sweet Emotion,’ and other songs. Despite some struggles that Aerosmith experienced in the beginning of the 1980s, the band returned to prominence later that decade with “Dude Looks Like a Lady” and “Angel. ” The band is still performing five decades after their formation.

Over the past two years, Aerosmith has been continuing at a much more slower rate when it comes to touring. This is most probably because the band members are now in their 70s; the lead singer, Steven Tyler, is 73 years old, while Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, both guitarists, are 71 years old. This is because touring is quite rigorous physically and since Aerosmith is no longer going on as many long world tours as they once did. However, the band still goes out on the road from time to time for shorter stints and special occasions. Back in 2019, Aerosmith announced a Las Vegas residency dubbed “Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild”, which took them through a series of performances of dozens of shows at the MGM Park resort. Despite their age, the band performed consistent two-hour shows with hits that made people feel like it was 1970s all over again.

However, their plans to embark on a residency show in Las Vegas in 2020 were cut short by the Covid-19 outbreak. Everything that was planned for the future was either cancelled or put on hold because practically all public places globally were closed to prevent the spread of the virus. As of this writing, it remains unclear when exactly “Deuces Are Wild” could again grace the stage of a venue in Las Vegas. One would presume that much depends on the pandemic situation and sanitary and quarantine measures. As long as case numbers continue to decrease and capacity restrictions are eased over time, Aerosmith can resume their Vegas performances in the later part of 2022 or early 2023. However, as for those who are waiting for their return to the stage, information is scarce. Some of the band members have said that they are looking forward to performing again but up to this point, there is no set dates yet.

Aside from this, Joe Perry and Steven Tyler, the famous members of the band, have been concentrating on their individual projects for the last couple years. Tyler even recently embarked on a solo tour across North America, proving that he still has the energy to perform for an audience even as he approaches his twilight years. Perry also stays active in Hollywood Vampires, the side project that includes Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp. So, both singers have remained quite busy, which means that there is still a possibility for Aerosmith to go back on tour once the world opens up again.

All indicators suggest that it will be at the earliest in 2023 that Aerosmith will be back in action for a major project. On one hand, there is a positive: the band’s upcoming 50 th anniversary. By the time 2023 arrives, it will be a whole 50 years since they performed in concert for the first time in New Hampshire. An epic achievement like that offers them a great chance to pay homage to their history with fans in the form of tour, a single show or the return of Vegas residency. This is because Steven Tyler has already hinted in public that something big is lined up for the 50th anniversary so there will be some form of live appearances.

Taking all the factors into consideration, the most likely time for the next Aerosmith tour would be mid- or late 2023. Which gives them ample time to negotiate the finer points and await the stabilization of the pandemic climate. No official statement has been made and the band still has to tread carefully when it comes to long tours at present. However, with the band’s new vitality and their 50th anniversary coming up, the conditions are right for Aerosmith to tour intensively in about a year or two. Their Vegas residency must get underway first, perhaps as early as the fourth quarter of 2022. Then bigger global dates can follow in 2023. I have no doubt that for a band of their standing, stadium tours will eventually call for their one final farewell following their 50th birthday. Whenever Aerosmith comes around, the next tour is always one that fans look forward too because they always put on an electrifying performance.

The cornerstone elements—Steven Tyler, whose vocal abilities remain as fresh as they were before, Joe Perry who still performs those fantastic guitar stunts, and the discography with a vast number of hits—are all preserved in spite of the long cooperation. Now it’s solely up to Aerosmith themselves to gather the energy and motivation for at least one more serious tour in honor of their first fifty years as a band. It is something that would be missing if such rock icons do not afford fans an opportunity to watch them perform live as they celebrate their fifty years and plan for the next fifty years. Problems with injuries, health issues, and, apparently, Covid can stall Aerosmith these days, but it will hardly prevent the band from touring again. The fact that this band gets to perform to hoards of fans who have been loyal to them for a long time encourages them. Therefore, when pandemics, safety considerations, and scheduling details are arranged appropriately, an official Aerosmith 50th anniversary seems set to happen mid- to late 2023 at the latest.
