Morrissey Tickets has been an important English singer and songwriter who was chiefly associated with the famous rock band The Smiths He has gained fame and popularity not only for his voice and vegetarianism but his unapologetic remarks at times. However, about the touring, the artist remains enigmatic and provides almost no information about the shows more than a year in advance. This air of mystery surrounding his touring schedules, coupled with his selective approach to media interviews and relative silence on social media, often leaves devotees wondering: When is Morrissey on tour?

That’s why it’s hard to assume Morrissey’s future tours so far ahead and why he does not stick to regular touring patterns like some other veterans do. Still, using recent history and the announced plans, it is possible to guess about some potential shows during the next year.

The most obvious sign is the show announced by Morrissey in late autumn 2021 for spring 2023: a Las Vegas residency. In November 2022, he announced five performances in March and April 2023, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which will be the singer’s first Vegas residency. Therefore, we can be precise and say that Morrissey will be touring this spring with dates such as 24, 25, 29, 31 March, and 1 April in Las Vegas. These shows are in a succession of his fall 2022 concert tour across North America which promoted his most current album, I Am Not a Dog on a Chain, therefore, it is expected that Morrissey’s Vegas residency will contain numbers from the new album coupled with Smiths songs and Moz’s chart-topping singles that fans expect to listen to.

Apart from the established shows in Las Vegas, the situation is rather unclear concerning the summer tour in 2023 or other performances later in the year. Over the last decade, Morrissey has embarked on a series of world tours, promoting particular continents in Europe, and North and South America with limited prior publicization. As such, at the moment no other dates are scheduled but more touring seems inevitable given his past performances. Further concert tours in support of 2009’s Years of Refusal, 2014’s World Peace Is None of Your Business, 2017’s Low in High School and the most recent one I Am Not a Dog on a Chain album prove he is still relevant and active in performing stage shows that can fill theater and arena across the globe.

Some signs point to the possibility that the spring Vegas shows could lead to even more extensive touring in 2023 and beyond. In an interview that Morrissey gave in late 2022, he mentioned that he wanted to play multiple concerts in some cities in future tours because, despite having less glamorous appeal, that model is capable of reaching more fans and uses less traveling. This could suggest more announced residencies similar to Vegas in other cities where he still has a loyal fan following. Further, the singer’s longtime guitarist and musical director Gustavo Manzur said, before the announcement of the Vegas shows that there would be more touring in 2023. While more dates are still up in the air, one can conclude that Morrissey will continue to tour.

Of course, knowing that Morrissey has had a history of canceled gigs, there is no way of guaranteeing that any dates provided will be achieved. Having faced health problems, changes in the band, and conflict with the policies of venues, the singer has had his fair share of canceled concerts in the past, so while the Vegas residency and potential subsequent legs may seem promising, Morrissey cannot be relied on until the stage equipment is set up and the man himself is on stage. However, the planned Vegas concerts and the words of the man’s band give fans a cause to believe that more extensive touring is in store.

The cult-like followership that Morrissey boasted of post-Smiths and his songwriting prowess as well as dynamic stage persona certainly helped him create fans across generations. Inconsistent with sharing tour plans or speaking directly to media only fuels the desire of fans for more concert performances from him. Though rumors will persist regarding exactly which venues and when the precise time frame of Spring 2023 for the Las Vegas shows offers a more specific date for concertgoers who are eagerly waiting for the artist’s next move. His prattle regarding reducing travel distances and attaining more followers in single cities indicates that other residencies could offer the plan of Morrissey’s ongoing touring once he reemerges next year on stage.
