  • Isley Brothers to Embark On Concerts in 2023

    Pioneering R&B/funk band Isley Brothers is set to embark on a large-scale tour of North America in 2023. The tour will begin in March and conclude in August, and it will feature more than 25 cities in the United States and Canada.

    The Isley Brothers were formed back in 1955 and they have earlier hits such as Shout and Twist and Shout They have been recording and performing live for the last sixty years and are active to this day with Ronald Isley and Ernie Isley being the only original members. They dance through their musical repertoire of classic hits across doo-wop, soul, funk, rock, and R&B genres in their concert.

    This new tour comes on the heels of the group being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “We are exceptionally grateful for this recognition from the Rock Hall and are eager to get the tour started and take it to the people,” adds Ronald Isley. I said “We will be performing all the popular and familiar songs that they listen and dance to but we will be adding some twist to it. ”

    The First Leg

    The first part of The Isley Brothers 2023 tour is set to commence on the first of March in Austin, Texas. They will perform at the Austin City Limits Live, for three consecutive nights as a ‘stand’. These intimate performances at the legendary venue will provide fans with a close-up concert experience to begin with.

    From there, The Isley Brothers will tour back and forth through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania until the end of April. Some of the most popular venues on the route are The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX, The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD, and Two Nights at The Met in Philadelphia.

    The Second Leg

    Following the May hiatus, The Isley Brothers will be back on the road in June for the second half of their 2023 tour. This leg will be targeting the Midwestern, Northeastern, and Canada. Some of the planned stopovers include Ravinia Festival, Chicago, Massey Hall, Toronto, The Rose Music Center, Cincinnati, Fox Theatre, Detroit, and Blue Hills Bank Pavilion Boston.

    The summer run will consist of performances at several different open-air facilities which will include large audiences of excited Isley Brothers fans. Some of these amphitheaters are St Joseph’s Health Amphitheater in Syracuse, NY, Budweiser Stage in Toronto, and DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit.

    The Third Leg

    August will see The Isley Brothers bring their 2023 tour to an end by performing on the West Coast and Western Canada. The final leg of this tour begins in Seattle, WA at McCaw Hall. Routing then leads them through major markets such as Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, and Vancouver.

    Some of the famous venues that are expected to host The Isley Brothers in this last run include La’s Greek Theatre, Masonic in San Francisco, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Rogers Arena in Vancouver BC. The tour is concluded with three final shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on August 24th, 25th, and 26th.

    Popular Tunes For Fans To Expect

    Of course, The Isley Brothers will perform their most popular songs, which topped the charts, during this tour. Thus, fans will be able to enjoy hits such as “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)”, “It’s Your Thing”, “That Lady”, “Fight the Power”, “Between the Sheets” and “Summer Breeze”.

    They will also likely play some more obscure tracks that die-hard fans might know as well as songs from their latest albums. However, the majority of the songs to be featured in the show will be those classic Isley Brothers’ hit songs that have been taken to the dance floor for more than fifty years now.
