    When James Bay Concert Tour?

  • James Bay to embark on his North American tour in the coming months

James Bay, a British singer-songwriter, is set to embark on a North American tour in the year 2023 to promote his third studio album called ‘Leap’. The tour begins on January 17 in Nashville and will continue in major cities across the United States and Canada until March 12 in Los Angeles.

The Brit Award winner who is aged 32 years will be performing in several small halls as well as theaters during this series. This is Bay’s first proper headlining tour since 2019, as the pandemic sidelined him from touring for the last couple of years aside from a brief stint in the fall.

“I cannot even express how much I have missed playing shows It has been too long,” Bay said in an Instagram post that announced the new dates. ‘This run will be so magical,’ she promised, ‘Just me, the guitar, the piano, and of course, the audience singing along. ’ She added, ‘That is when I feel most content. ’

Bay came into prominence in 2015 when he released his first album, Chaos and the Calm, featuring the 5x platinum selling hit “Hold Back the River”. His second studio album was released in 2018 under the title of ‘Electric Light’ and it marked the further development of Bay, which embraced the usage of the synth-pop and electronic subgenres.

Leap, Bay’s first full-length collection of new songs in nearly four years, was released in September this year and received a rousing reception from critics and audiences. It was mainly composed during the spring of the COVID-19 pandemic and it addresses topics concerning war, divisions, and tensions worldwide. It includes the bright and catchy “One Life,” the song about existential despair “Nowhere Left to Go,” and the Beach-Boys-inspired “I Don’t Wanna Let You Down. ”

Of course, the show is packed with new songs but there are also many tracks in Bay’s discography that every listener might know by heart and it is only logical that those will be performed too; for instance “Let It Go,” “Pink Lemonade,” “Wild Love,” and others.

The first part of the tour starts on January 17, 2019, at an iconic location, the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. After that Bay will travel to Atlanta, Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Toronto, and among others before concluding in Los Angeles with two shows on 11th and 12th of March at Ace Hotel.

On all dates, support will be provided by UK singer-songwriter Willie J Healey, who will perform a short opening set.

Based on Bay’s background as a charismatic live artist and the relative simplicity of this tour, fans should get their tickets soon before the shows run out. Tickets go on sale to the public starting this Wednesday, October 12th, with presales starting this Wednesday also, October 12th but for early bird users only with code LEAP; the general public can buy theirs starting this Friday the 14th.

The past three years have been a challenge for artists and listeners in terms of the live music performance. This has made fans really miss that feeling of coming together and sharing a common bond with the help of songs. This is why with the release of this compassionate and optimistic new album Leap and this new tour, James Bay is keen to rekindle that special live concerting again.
