    When Jeremy Camp Concert Tour?

  • Jeremy Camp can be described as a contemporary Christian music artist who has been performing concerts for over two decades. He first came into the limelight in the early 2000s with such songs as “Walk By Faith” and “Stay”. In the last twenty years, he has released more than twelve albums and was nominated for Dove and Grammy Awards several times.

Jeremy Camp was born and raised in a Christian home in Indiana and started his music ministry as a teenager when he was playing guitar at the home church. He continued with his college education at the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Southern California where he also polished his songwriting talent and music. His first major success was in the year 2000 when he came up with his first independent album known as “Burden Me”. This album attracted the attention of national record companies and laid down the foundation for Jeremy Camp’s success in the Contemporary Christian Music genre.

Following the release of his independent album, Camp was signed to BEC Recordings, and his first album with the company was “Stay” in 2002. Some of the popular songs in this album were the title track “Stay” and “Walk By Faith” through which Camp was able to introduce his zealous music whose lyrics were drawn from his Christian faith. Pieces such as “I Still Believe” and “Beautiful One” were popular because people were eager to listen to worship songs. Starting with this first major label release began an incredibly fruitful year for Jeremy Camp where he would release music consistently and go on tour.

In the following decade, Jeremy Camp became one of the most popular singers in the whole Christian music industry. Who could forget his husky voice and the songs with lyrics that touched on love, loss, and faith? In his music career spanning from 2003 to 2013, he was able to release seven albums which included a live worship album and a holiday album. Such albums as “Carried Me”, “Beyond Measure”, and “Speaking Louder Than Before” produced radio hits that made Camp a mainstay of Christian stations throughout the 2000s.

These were the peak years of Jeremy Camp who was performing a show around the United States mostly at churches and arenas. That is why his live performances were very dynamic and fans were able to grasp the meaning of his songs. He managed to perform in 150 concerts per year between 2003 and 2010 and has been on different concert tours such as Beyond Measure Tour, Live Unplugged Tour, and Speaking Louder Tour. He performed at festivals such as Spirit West Coast and Creation Festival and also headlined his shows.

Apart from the said North American tours, Jeremy Camp also had some international shows in some nations such as South Africa, Ecuador, Hong Kong, and Guatemala among others. These overseas concerts also helped him to expand his fan base in the remaining continents. Nevertheless, most of Camp’s concerts during this period were performed in the United States and he was always on tour every year.

In the early 2010s, after getting married and starting a family, Jeremy Camp started to cut down his demanding touring schedule. However, he continued to record new material and put out songs with some level of frequency which some of the albums include, recklessness (2013), I Will Follow (2015), and The Answer (2017). Such songs as “Reckless Love of God” and “Word of Life” were received well by the audience, and Jeremy Camp, who used to travel promoting these albums, estimated he performed 75 concerts a year.

His latest album, “The Answer,” came out in 2018 along with his first concert documentary “I Still Believe”. The viewer watched this documentary and a live album which consisted of Jeremy Camp, the performance of his famous songs, and interviews that showed his personal life and faith. It provided a career flashback for this enormously popular singer and recorded high-energy concert renditions of his biggest hits.

From this concert film project, Jeremy Camp transitioned back to extensive touring in 2019 with his biggest world tour in over five years. His “I Still Believe” Tour was a tour where he performed more than 120 shows across the United States and Europe. For most of the year 2020, Jeremy Camp had to put touring on hold because of the pandemic but, in the year 2021, he was back on the road with the “When You Speak Tour”. Overall, he was able to carry out seventy-five performances in the United States as the co-headliner to other artists including Matthew West, Jordan Feliz, and We The Kingdom.

Lastly, in the summer of 2022, Jeremy Camp performed in over 50 cities in the “In The Wake Tour”. As part of this tour, Jeremy Camp invited Riley Clemmons and Joseph Solomon to join as support, and performed songs from his newly-released album “When You Speak”. Tour routing on the tour stop included Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.

In the future, Jeremy Camp plans the next part of the “In The Wake Tour” for February-April 2023. This upcoming concert leg covers 25 performances across the western half of the nation. Jeremy Camp will be performing in Arizona, California, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, and other locations. Other performers that will perform include Anne Wilson and Bryce Fox. Jeremy Camp is now well over 20 years into his music career, and he still actively tours though has to work around his family life. Several of his songs can be considered part of the Contemporary Christian category while his performances always pull a crowd of like-minded individuals who can relate to his lyrics. The next chapter is yet unwritten, however, all indications are that Camp will go on recording more music and touring the length and breadth of America and the world on concert tours. His current success will likely lead to even more new albums and additional chances to witness Jeremy Camp’s passionate live performances on stage all around the globe in the coming years.
