Canadian folk rock artist Lord Huron has shared plans for a concert tour in the coming year, 2023.
Recently, the Indie folk rock band Lord Huron revealed the details of the concert for North America in 2023 with over 30 dates across the US and Canada. The tour will commence on the first of March in Minneapolis, MN, and conclude on the 13th of May in Los Angeles, CA.
Indie music came to life with a band called Lord Huron in 2010, when the founder of the band Ben Schneider started recording and independently releasing the EPs under the name of Lord Huron. Their first album ‘Lonesome Dreams’ released in the year 2012 was highly appreciated by critics and fans alike for its poetic lyrics and ethereal melodies which were of the indie folk /rock genre. In the following ten years, Lord Huron brought out two more popular albums named ‘Strange Trails’ in the year 2015 and ‘Vide Noir’ in 2018.
This year, the Lord Huron band is getting back on the road after recording new material in the last several years, to meet their fans who are excited to hear their dramatic pieces live on stage. Schneider expressed a positive sentiment saying, ‘It feels great to be back on the road and performing for our fans. ‘I have not been able to meet and perform these songs with you as much as I have wanted to. ’
The next tour will see Lord Huron perform songs from all three albums in a setlist that spans through their entire career. Fans can hope to see a classic indie folk melody like “The Night We Met” or “When the Night is Over,” or rock-based anthems like “The World Ender” or “Ancient Names (Part I). ” The band is characterized by powerful performances, complex multi-layered tracks, and Schneider’s vocal expressions.
The majority of the programs in the tour are planned for mid-scale theaters with an audience carrying a capacity of one thousand to three thousand. Such an intimate concert environment is ideal for Lord Huron due to their band’s focus on audience involvement. Speaking about what fans can expect from the shows, Schneider said ‘l want people to feel that they have been taken somewhere when they come to see us live. That’s why we aim to make our shows as musical as possible from start to end.
The tour will take the group to other key markets such as Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Atlanta. Upcoming West Coast performances are to be in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, as well as other cities before the final show at the Greek Theatre in LA. Since Lord Huron has not released new songs shortly, the 2023 concert will be the first time fans will listen to new songs. What few fans knew was that Schneider mentioned that there might be some new tracks to be performed in concert. He said, “It has been quite some time since we had new material, but we have written a lot of new music we are excited to share. ” Thus, there will be some songs which the audience has not expected.
As the band gets ready for its thirty tour dates across the country next year, Lord Huron’s 2023 tour will be one of the hottest concert tours for the indie folk rock genre next year. Schneider then added, “We pour our passion into these live shows and would like our fans to sense this effort. We are eager to hit the stage and turn it up with everyone else to commemorate these moments. ”
