    When Metallica Concert Tour?

  • Metallica Reveals Tour Schedule for 2023-2024

Headlining rock band Metallica has unveiled plans for a massive stadium and arena trek across North America, Europe, and Australia in 2023 and 2024. It comes as a promotion for their latest album which is called “72 Seasons” released in April of 2023.

The tour starts in late April 2023 with several concerts in North American cities such as Detroit, Montreal, Washington D. C., Boston, and others before the group goes to Europe in May and June. The European portion of the tour will include concerts at major rock and metal festivals such as Rock am Ring, Download Festival, Hellfest, and others, in addition to the headline arena shows.

Some of the cities on the route when performing in Europe include Manchester, London, Berlin, Stockholm, Helsinki, Warsaw, Madrid, Barcelona, and others. They will also perform stadium concerts at such places as the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and other similar locations during the Summertime European leg of the tour in 2023.

After finishing almost two months of shows across Europe and the UK, Metallica will be back in America in early August 2023 for the second round of North American dates where new cities will be added to the list like Portland, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Buffalo, and other cities where Metallica has not yet performed during the first round of North American tour dates. This leg will continue until early October before the band takes its music Down Under.

The Australian and New Zealand tour will occur in October 2023, and it will be a short tour since the band has not been to the two countries in 3 years. The Australian tour schedule involves performances in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne Sy, Sydney, and Auckland among other places.

After the Australia/New Zealand leg by the end of October, the band is expected to have a 6-month break before going back on tour in May 2024 with more European shows. This leg is expected to run up until July, with the band visiting locations that couldn’t be included in their 2023 Europe tour because of routing complications. Besides, during the second European tour, the cities of Prague, Budapest, Warsaw, Vilnius, and other Eastern European cities are also covered except for those Western European cities again, which can be revisited in 2024.

After nearly 8 weeks of performances in summer 2024 across Europe, Metallica will return home and continue the North American tour in August 2024. This third and probably final North American teammates for the “72 Seasons” album will have the band tour more cities and place the August-October 2024 before the final curtain on the long two-year world tour.

Considering this tour has been active for almost 18 months it will be reasonable to assume that Metallica will not play the same songs in each city. Of course, the new songs from 72 Seasons will also be played at concept not only classics but also some hits which have not been played in a very long time apart from concepts of Metallica. Sick of ticket holders’ expectations, the band has more than 140 songs in their discography so every live show is going to be different, the band is excited to finally play some of the songs, which they performed only in studios, during the tour after several years of playing the hits.

The tour also marks the 41st to 42nd year of Metallica as a band thus giving them a chance to look back at 4 decades of memories and share them with fans across the world. Like in the previous tours, Metallica will work with their All Within My Hands foundation and comdollarsllar per head ticket sold on the tour to a charitable organization in every city that they will perform in during the tour aside from other philanthropic efforts surrounding the concerts.

Out of the initial tour announcement, nearly 70 dates have already been lined up and more are likely to be announced in the next few months, ensuring fans get several opportunities to watch Metallica live in concert in a nearby city either in 2023 or 2024. The on-sale dates for the pre-sale tickets and the general public tickets for North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand will be revealed soon on the band’s official website for its fan club members newcomersmers. These Metallica dates are some of the most awaited international concerts in 2023 and 2024, and fans are expected to snatch up tickets as soon as they go for sale.
