    When Nicki Minaj Concert Tours?

  • Nicki Minaj is one of the most famous rappers today, who started her career more than ten years ago and has millions of followers all over the world. Minaj has been in the limelight since the year 2009 and up to date she has embarked on six concert tours and has been the opening act for other tours also. For example, she is famous for her live performances characterized by costumes, stage equipment, and personalities.

The first tour of Minaj’s was the Pink Friday Tour which took place in 2012 to support her breakthrough debut studio album Pink Friday. It struck North America for 14 shows. Being a guest, she invited other artists such as Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Tyga, and Gym Class Heroes. This concert included songs such as Super Bass, Moment 4 Life, Beez in the Trap, and Starships among others. Some of the production aspects were pyrotechnics, complex lighting, and multiple stages/walkways that enabled Minaj to interact with the audience. Frequent outfit swaps and transformations such as Roman Zolanski made the show exciting and entertaining.

Minaj supported R&B artist Chris Brown on the European and Asian legs of the Carpe Diem Tour in 2013. Some songs were dropped for more pop and rap-oriented songs. She used toy soldiers, ninja ninjas, samurais, and roller-skating dancers for comic, Japanese pop art-themed vignettes in between numbers.

The Pinkprint Tour was Minaj’s largest tour in 2015. She performed nearly 40 concerts for eight months in Europe, Asia, and North America. Other A-list rappers such as Meek Mill, Trey Songz, and Chris Brown also joined to perform songs like Going Bad and Touchin, Lovin. Supported by four dancers, live musicians, and a DJ, Minaj incorporated massive production elements such as fireworks, elaborate installations, acrobatics, and lighting effects. Discussing the highlights of the tour, one can single out the Nicki Minaj Queen puppet, a giant, walking figure. Minaj also continued to perform some of the lesser-known songs in her discography, as well as some demos that were recorded during the sessions for The Pinkprint.

Minaj was scheduled to perform in 2016 on Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman Tour as a co-headliner. Among others, such as Little Mix and Victoria Monet, Minaj performed in huge outdoor athletic stadiums during the majority of the time she spent on the tour lasting seven weeks. Ferociously dancing through songs like Side to Side, Bang Bang, and Moment 4 Life, Minaj and Grande would switch stages, joining each other on stage and inviting features such as Mac Miller and Future. Minaj rapped on songs such as Beez in the Trap and switched wigs for nearly every song.

Minaj stepped out in February 2019, to start her first concert tour in over three years called the Nicki Wrld Tour. Joined by SoundCloud rapper Juice Wrld, an intense hater, the nearly 20-date North American leg of the tour saw each artist perform a set before coming together for a joint finale set. Minaj opted for rap-oriented tracklists, while she could show versatility from rap like Chun-Li to pop such as Kissing Strangers. Barbie's spectacle included choreographed dance numbers, skits, and pyrotechnic-filled staging in an attempt to entertain fans.

Most recently, Nicki launched her first solo tour since 2015 with the Nicki Minaj: The Tour 2023. Unveiled in November 2022, the stadium gigs series is set to maintain Minaj touring through most of 2023. The tour is currently comprised of over 30 shows that take place across Europe and North America. More legs are expected to be added. Expectations are high for this new tour since she has recently released her much anticipated fifth album and most concerts are usually sold out within minutes. If the production and theatrics from her previous outings are any indication, the Nicki Minaj: The Tour 2023 will be her biggest stage where she might invite guests, incorporate new elements in her performance, and sing songs from her most popular albums.

During her live performances, Nicki Minaj has transformed into one of the most entertaining, energetic, and playful pop artists out there. Her 2023 tour has been announced and is expected to be her longest and most extravagant tour ever, which means that both new fans and people who have been following her since she joined the Young Money record label will get to see one of the best live performers at her absolute best.
