New Dates for Paramore Tour 2023
Rock band Paramore has detailed a 32-date 2023 tour promoting their latest album, This Is Why. The pop-punk band will be going on a fully comprehensive headlining tour in North America starting in May and ending in September.
The tour is set to begin on the 23rd of May in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will comprise performances at arenas in the United States and Canada. Some of these are New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Vancouver, and many others before ending the tour in St Paul, Minnesota on September 15th.
In total, the tour consists of more than 30 dates allowing the fans to meet the reunited band with Hayley Williams, Taylor York, and Zac Farro on stage. The announcement comes after the band’s massive comeback in 2022 with the release of This Is Why, which is the sixth studio album and the first one after 2017’s After Laughter.
This Is Why came out as the third album of Paramore to hit the Billboard 200 chart showing that the group still commands considerable attention after gaining fame in the pop punk and emo genres in mid 2000s. Their dedicated fan base rejoiced to hear that the band is not only back in the studio but also back on tour as they approach their 20-year mark.
This is because it has been five years since the last headline tour by the band which means Paramore fans will be eagerly waiting for the band’s reunion shows. While the albums have come and gone the band has continued to create music that leans more toward pop yet the punk influence is still there and the lyrical content is still very much part of the equation and what has made the band who they are. Pop-punk giants Paramore will deliver a packed collection of brand new material along with such staples as “That’s What You Get”, “Misery Business”, and “Ain’t It Fun” as these concerts will be equally enjoyable for occasional listeners, and fans.

The band shared their joy through various social media platforms, saying that This Is Why was written to perform the songs live. Since their last tour, which might have been a long time ago, there will be a lot of expectation and passion that people will bring when the band finally comes to perform. This could even be spiced up with some theatrical surprises or other celebrity appearances if one were to go by their earlier tours.
Presales will commence from the 2nd of March to those who create an online account as a fan while tickets will be available to the general public starting from the 10th of March. It is assumed that demand will increase rapidly, so to buy tickets, fans should follow the links posted on the band’s website and social networks closer to the dates of concerts in their city. As there are relatively large gaps between some cities, some of the newly added second dates or festival stops may also be announced at a later time.
However, as of now, the This Is Why Tour 2023 will give us an epic comeback of one of the most important bands in pop-punk history. The lyrics about coming of age and mental health issues hit me as hard today as they did when I first heard them. And there will undoubtedly be introspection regarding the band’s evolution with Williams and Farro leaving at some point, only to return and mend the rifts – it is rather a circle that was drawn and, indeed, closed in a profound sense.
It couldn’t be better timed as Riot! is the album that put Paramore on the map. It was just celebrating its 15th anniversary in June of 2022. The familiarity of hearing the record’s scene classics will be high but there will always be that curiosity of how the new songs sound live. All that considered, This Is Why Tour 2023 looks set to be an uplifting party that fans will not want to miss.
