When Rebelde Concert Tour?
The Mexican music band RBD, a former Rebelde band, performed in many concert tours between 2004 and 2009 in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. With songs like “Solo Quédate En Silencio”, “Sálvame”, and “Nuestro Amor”, the group offered high-voltage live shows that resonated with fans across the world.
The Original Rebelde Tour (2004-2005) RBD started performing live in 2004 when the Mexican telenovela ‘Rebelde’ popularized them throughout Mexico and the Latin American region. Their first concert tour began on November 19 2004 in Mexico City with three consecutive sold-out performances in Monterrey in the first week of December.
During the next several months through 2005, RBD embarked on more than 60 concerts with their “Tour Generación RBD” across Mexico; in Veracruz, Acapulco, Guadalajara, Puebla, Leon, and Cancun. They were singing and dancing along to songs from their first album of Rebelde during the entire show.
RBD went international with their tour in May 2005 performing four concerts in Colombia. They played in Bogota and Cali where thousands of fans came to watch the band with the Mexican telenovela tunes.
Rebels United Tour (2005) Following up on the hit series, RBD brought their “Rebels United Tour” in October 2005 where the production and choreography were grander than before. They toured through Mexico for six weeks and performed in over 40 concerts, revisiting most of the major cities as well as new venues such as San Luis Potosi, Saltillo, and Villahermosa.
Such songs from their second album “Nuestro Amor” as “Tras De Mi” and “Nuestro Amor” were incorporated into the setlist The band’s tour was accompanied by pyrotechnics and light shows that were in sync with songs like “Fuego” and “Cariño Mio”.
Thus, by December 2005, RBD had already performed over 100 arena shows only in Mexico, which proves the group’s popularity among the Mexican audience.
Celestial World Tour (2006) In 2006, RBD continued their concert tour taking it to a new level with the “Celestial World Tour where they performed in 16 countries in South America, North America, and Europe.
This tour commenced in Brazil in April 2006 and was comprised of five performances across some of the country’s largest cities, including Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The Brazilian fans actively participated and sang along to songs from RBD’s first two albums making them superstars across Latin America.
The Next RBD returned to Argentina in May 2006 to perform six more shows before moving to Chile, Peru, and Ecuador in the following months. Every place they performed, they had sold out audiences with large crowds in the largest concert halls and stadiums, which is a clear testimony to the fact that they are one of the most sought-after Latin music bands globally.
RBD began the North American leg of the tour in August 2006, visiting fifteen cities in the United States, including Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, and New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The press called them the ‘Mexican Backstreet Boys’, they provided their concerts with well-coordinated dancing and young energy.
By the year-end 2006 RBD also achieved the distinction of being the first Latin pop group to perform headliner shows in Croatia, Romania, and Spain. People went to shows in droves even in those places where Spanish was not popular; groups swayed to captivating tunes such as “Tras De Mi. ”
After more than seventy live performances of the “Celestial World Tour,” RBD had transformed from telenovela actors to international pop icons for teenagers.
Celestial 2007 USA Tour After the success of their first tour, RBD dedicated the first half of 2007 to working on another concert tour in the United States. They visited 20 cities they had never performed in before during the “Celestial World Tour” which includes Chicago, Atlanta, and Orlando.
These shows provided the American audience a second opportunity to witness RBD’s stylish dance moves and theater performances on set. Although the lyrics were mostly in Spanish, people of different origins enjoyed dancing and singing along to songs such as “Ser O Parecer” and “Empezar Desde Cero. ”
Some of the events that impressed the band include playing in Puerto Rico in February 2007 in front of what they considered one of the loudest audiences. And RBD made history by playing at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, which was their 40th sold-out show in The States.
As a result of the popularity and success of their 2007 “Celestial” tour in the United States, RBD further established a foundation for subsequent larger-scale concert tours.
Tour Del Adios world tour (2008-2009) RBD shocked their fans internationally in 2008 when the group declared that they would disintegrate in 2009 by releasing one final tour and album. It only added to fans’ anticipation if they wanted to see the characters together one more time before they went their separate ways.
From November 2008 to December 2009, RBD staged their grand 115-performance “Tour del Adios World Tour” in more than a dozen countries. They described it as their biggest tour ever, featuring aerial artists, rollerblading singers and dancers, and giant pyrotechnic effects.
Following this, RBD embarked on a mini tour in Mexico and Latin America totaling 63 shows and then said goodbye to the US audience with 12 concerts in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami in May and June 2009. American critics regarded them as “one of the most successful Latin music phenoms in recent years. ”
RBD prepared itself for more European goodbye shows in France, Spain, and Romania. People flocked to their shows across Europe to catch one last glimpse of the popular Mexican pop group before they retired from the scene.
The tour and RBD said its final goodbye after the last two performances in Madrid and Barcelona in late 2009. However, their songs and electrifying concert acts remain a source of influence for other young Latin pop stars and enthusiasts to this day.
