Reik was formed in 2003 in Mexicali, Mexico. The founding members of the band included Jesus Alberto Navarro Rosas as the lead singer, Julio Ramirez Eguia as the guitarist, and Gilberto Marin Espinoza also as the guitarist. Before they got famous, they used to perform live at local venues, before they were picked up by Sony BMG in 2005.

The tour will run from February to August and it will cover fifteen countries where Reik will be able to play most of the largest Latin American cities. Some of the cities to be covered include Mexico, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Bogota among others before the tour proceeds to the United States.
