    When Sting Concert Tour?

  • Gordon Sumner, popularly known as Sting, has recently introduced new dates for this concert tour.

Celestial singer-songwriter Sting has just released information about an upcoming concert tour that he will be embarking on in the year 2023. The ‘My Songs’ tour will feature Sting singing some of the best songs he has produced in his solo career and as the lead vocalist of the rock band, The Police.

It was announced that the tour is planned to begin in the middle of February of the following year, 2023. Sting will begin in Europe with shows taking place in the UK, France, and Germany among other countries. He has about fifteen European shows scheduled between February and April. Till now, major places in the roster are London’s O2 Arena, Le Zenith in Paris, and the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin.

Following the European part in April, Sting will have a few months off, and in June, he will continue with the “My Songs” tour in North America. From June to August 2023, he has over twenty shows lined up across the United States and Canada. The North American run will take them through arenas in Toronto, Philadelphia, Nashville, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles among others. Unfortunately, the itinerary has him performing for multiple nights at the Beacon Theatre in New York City and The Mission Ballroom in Denver.

Sting will also be performing such memorable hits as “Roxanne,” “Every Breath You Take,” “Message in a Bottle,” “Englishman in New York” and many more. Audiences can look forward to Police songs from the beginning up to the newest music from the artist’s 2021 album, The Bridge. Of course, Sting’s concerts are no stranger to the occasional cover or two or some less expected songs, so the audience can expect to hear some very obscure songs during the stint of the tour.

The listings made so far suggest that Sting will be performing with a four-piece band as his backing group. Dominic Miller will be performing with him again as a guitarist, the drummer will be Josh Freese, Rufus Miller will be on the keyboards and Melissa Musique will be the backing vocalist. This is particularly true given the fact that there could be instances where the British singer includes special guest performances during one or more of the tour dates. In previous performances, he has invited known personalities and his fellow artists to join him on stage.

As expected of him, Sting will also be aligning his 2023 tour with different social and environment-related issues that are dear to him. REVERB was he has collaborated with them in terms of production, traveling, and merchandising to make the concerts environmentally friendly. Moreover, at each stop a donation will be made to a charity that supports the cause that Sting believes in.

The tour has been embraced with a lot of excitement by both Sting and Police fans across the globe. Tickets are not currently available but there is likely to be a high demand for them and they are expected to be sold out in a very short span. To be among the first to buy tickets, interested clientele are advised to preregister for shows on Sting’s website for next year’s highly sought-after performances.

Sting is now seventy-one years old, yet one cannot help but wonder where he draws all his energy and passion regarding touring. He dances with as much energy and passion as a man half his age and possesses the talent to boot. This upcoming world tour appears to be one of the most extensive that he has undertaken in years. As always Sting does not give a boring performance; he offers new arrangements and unique live performances of hit songs.

The concert calendar is already looking crowded with some big names like Bruce Springsteen, Eagles, Elton John, and Billy Joel announcing shows in 2023. These are the latest dates by Sting, which makes him join the list of legendary rock bands that are expected to perform next year. For fans, it’s a great opportunity to witness one of music’s most enduring singer-songwriters at work. The lyrics of Sting are timeless and relevant in any generation and that is why he has fans across all age groups.

Fan expectations of a setlist amongst dedicated Sting enthusiasts have already begun to circulate. Online fan forums are full of expectations that some of these tunes may be played on the radio as well as dedicated programs to his jazz album ‘The Dream of the Blue Turtles’ and other lesser-known records. That way, his diverse discography gives so much potential when it comes to building up the lists of songs that are to be performed every night. It has to be assumed that Sting will be performing Police material, as well as songs from his latest solo album.
