When The Head And The Heart Concert Tour?
The Head and the Heart is an American indie folk rock band from Seattle, Washington, that was formed in the year 2009. The band is composed of Jonathan Russell on vocals, guitar, and piano; Josiah Johnson on vocals, guitar, and piano; Charity Rose Thielen on violin, guitar, and vocals; Chris Zasche on bass; Kenny Hensley on keyboards; and Tyler Williams on drums. Initially, The Head and the Heart independently released their first album in 2009, but later they joined Sub Pop Records. They have since released three more studio albums and continue to tour North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
The Head and the Heart’s activities in 2019 included touring across North America, and promoting their album Living Mirage, released in 2018. It began in March with a series of concerts in various cities in the western part of the country. They perform in major cities such as San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle before they move to the eastern region. In the following months, they played in such cities as Salt Lake City, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC and others. With the most extensive leg in 2019, they headlined some of the biggest venues till that time, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. They also performed at festivals including Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Railbird, and Mad Cool alongside other performances.
Still in summer and through the early part of the autumn, The Head and the Heart went on with their tour. They concluded the first North American part in October following two historical sold-out shows at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. After that, they went back on tour in Europe and the United Kingdom to perform in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris. They then went back across the Atlantic for one last North American tour that saw them perform in cities across Canada in November.
Apart from being into headlining performances and concerts in the festival, The Head and the Heart also provided support for some crucial shows from Mumford Sons, Death Cab for Cutie, and The Lumineers. Their yearly performances in 2019 were exceptional and had played for several fan bases across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Thus, The Head and the Heart toured throughout almost the entire of 2019, and they have mentioned recently that they are in the process of preparing new material for a new studio album. Some information is lacking at this stage of its development; however, one can expect more touring after the album’s release in the years to come. In the future, as the band will attract even more fans for their concerts, their subsequent headlining shows will be held at even bigger and famous venues. Ever since the release of The Head and the Heart’s first album in 2011 which led up to their major label debut in 2013 Let’s Be Still which reached number 10 on the Billboard 200 and sold out tours all over the world, The Head and the Heart have shown that they are capable of engaging the world with their folk-rock sound.
Thus, when can fans expect to see The Head and the Heart performing live next time? If the ongoing coronavirus pandemic were not a hindrance to live concerts and festivals, it would not be long before the band takes its music to other parts of the world. Performing in intimate venues as well as massive venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre or music festivals for tens of thousands of music lovers, The Head and the Heart has always risen to the challenge of giving enchanting and touching live shows. On top of this, their vocal harmonies and instrumental arrangements, coupled with a visibly palpable love for performing live, have endeared them to legions of fans across musical spectrums. So catch them at a nearby city when concerts are resumed soon. Considering the band’s extensive touring experience and increasing popularity during the last decade, it will be a question of how The Head and the Heart can continue to perform folk rock to the world for many more years.
