    When Tool Concert Tour?

  • Tool is an American rock band that was formed in the year 1990 in Los Angeles, California. They are notable for their musically challenging, progressive compositions, atypical time signatures, spiraling guitar leads, and impressive drummer Danny Carey. For the last three decades, Tool has built up an audience patiently waiting on the release of their new album or the start of their concert tour.

Following years of waiting, Tool revealed in 2019 that they would be going on a new concert tour for their new studio album, “Fear Inoculum,” which was released in August 2019 after 13 years of silence. The tour was started on the 13th of October in the year 2019 in Denver Colorado and to date has covered dates in the North American region.

The material performed during the Fear Inoculum tour has included songs from all of Tool’s releases, ensuring that both young and old fans are satisfied. These include songs like ‘The Pot’ from the prior hit albums Lateralus and Nima as well as other tracks like ‘Part of Me’ and ‘Pushit’ that may be appreciated by old-school fanatics. Of course, the band has also performed a few songs from their newest album such as “Invincible” and the titular track “Fear Inoculum. ”

Some of the memorable moments from the tour so far are when the band performed on Halloween night in Phoenix, Arizona wearing costumes to honor the holiday. There was also an energetic performance in Los Angeles when mid-set Tool announced the death of basketball player Kobe Bryant. Danny Carey the drummer of the band and a passionate Lakers fan was all in tears during that sentimental moment.

On the musical front, the new Tool tour has received unanimous praise for its more polished sound quality and even more elaborate visuals, further cementing the band’s status as purveyors of some of the most elaborate and enveloping live shows. Adam Jones the acclaimed guitarist has returned to form thus improving the quality of music to be found on this album, Jones created sublime layers of psychedelic texture and wailing leads that complement Justin Chancellor’s distinctive bass lines. However, the main man himself, Maynard James Keenan, has also been recognized for waltzing on stage with an enigmatic figure as he is most of the time dressed in black, shrouded in smoke and fog.

The stage looks technological with effective features like bright LEDs and lasers while also getting the classic feel of vintage tube amplifiers. Complicated animations of objects and the use of graphics that morph with the beat of the music are regular features of Tool’s concerts along with other abilities of the band members. That is why signature visual artist Alex Grey has designed original artwork and animation for this newest tour. The stage is then made even more grotesque by macabre statues, candles, and future dystopian props that give the show a sense of ethereal glamour.

Indeed, Tool’s latest tour has not only met but rather surpassed the expectations of their numerous fans who have had to wait for a long time between the end of the Nima tour. These shows feature two-hour performances filled with hits, but which are also acknowledge the band’s more recent output. With perfect musicianship, stunning visual displays, and an even more passionate fan base, the Fear Inoculum tour has become one of, if not the best, and a new addition to Tool’s touring up until this point.

Tool has stated they still have a massive North American tour planned for spring and after that some Summer festival dates across Europe. If you missed the opportunity to see Tool on their victory tour supporting Fear Inoculum, your opportunity is still on the horizon as the band is set to continue through the year. Considering Maynard’s apprehensiveness regarding the long tours and the member’s many other projects, fans should not trust the availability of Tool Tours.

This may be the last major concert tour by Tool for quite some time because of their habit of taking long gaps between albums and subsequent tours. Their live performances have been described as legendary in the rock music scene, and therefore, getting Tool concert tickets in the year 2020 and beyond would be the best thing one could do. Do not miss your opportunity to witness the performances of the essentials like “Schism” and “Lateralus” along with the more recent tracks like “Pneuma” and “Chocolate Chip Trip. ” Tool does not show signs of creative decline even now - see them on the Fear Inoculum tour while you can!
