Who Is On Tour With Alice Cooper?

  • Alice Cooper Tickets is and will be performing in North America and Europe in 2023 through his ‘Detroit Stories’ tour. He is being accompanied by his live band, which has been with him for many years now, including guitarists Ryan Roxie, Tommy Henriksen, and Nita Strauss, bassist Chuck Garric, and drummer Glen Sobel. This band has been supporting Alice Cooper since about 2011, when he began to tour with many of the musicians he has collaborated with in the past.

Ryan Roxie is an experienced guitarist who has been a member of Alice Cooper’s band since 1996 and contributed to the albums ‘Brutal Planet’ and ‘Dragontown’. He has also produced several solo albums that reveals his great talents in guitars and songwriting. Tommy Henriksen has worked with bands like Warlock and has been a member of Alice’s team since 2011, both for touring and recording. He co-wrote several songs on ‘Welcome 2 My Nightmare’ and provides vocal backing both on record and live performances.

Nita Strauss is the latest addition in the band that Alice has. Today she is regarded as one of the most prominent female guitar players. Prior to her association with Alice Cooper, she performed with The Iron Maidens, an all-girl Iron Maiden tribute band, and LA-based rock band Femme Fatale. She is very talented and lively on stage that makes her a darling of the audience during performances. On bass, there is Chuck Garric, who has been with Alice Cooper since 2002. He has an attitude of heavy metal with his playing. Delivering the driving beats is none other than Glen Sobel, who has played for Beautiful Creatures for quite sometime.

The current line-up includes the core band and characters are expanded with the presence of Sheryl Cooper, Alice’s wife, who plays the horror themed Nurse Sheryl. The tour also incorporates large props and stage features such as the huge Frankenstein figure, electric chair, and a large 9 feet tall guillotine modeled after Alice Cooper. The shows are designed to give the viewers a deranged nightmare with Cooper’s black humor and Marillion’s popular hits such as ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’ and ‘Poison’.

The current show relies mostly on Alice Cooper’s most recent record, 2021’s ‘Detroit Stories’ with producer Bob Ezrin, who worked on such iconic Cooper albums as the artist’s first major hit, ‘I’m Eighteen’. There are also songs from Detroit Stories such as ‘Our Love Will Change The World’ and ‘Social Debris’ included in the setlist. Other songs being sung in the current tour are from his 50+ year music career ranging from 1975’s ‘Department of Youth’ to his 2017’s album ‘Paranormal’.

More and more extravagant stage shows are still going on, this has legends of shock rock. To promote Detroit Stories, Alice Cooper and band continue to tour arenas and festivals around the world. They finish the American portion in April while they are touring internationally from August to September. As initial bands in some of the North American shows are Buckcherry, co-headliners of this tour, and the hardcore punk veterans by The Damned. Overseas the Darkness and Quireboys will be supporting on the UK dates.

More than five decades since their inception, Alice Cooper, now 74 years young, has no plans of retiring from the road. He continues to build generations of dedicated fans mesmerized by the theatrical concerts and timeless songs. The high energy live shows let old and new fans relive the rebellious attitude of the band.
