Who Is On Tour With Green Day?

  • Green Day confirmed earlier this year that they would be launching a large-scale world tour in support of the album, accompanied by what can only be described as an all-star supporting bill.

Famous punk rock band Green Day Tickets has recently unveiled the details of their huge global concert that will take place in support of the most recent record the band released and is to start the following summer. The tour will encompass the next year and a half, with Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tra Cool rocking North America, Europe, Australia, and other locations in late 2023 and through 2024.

The punk rock band Green Day will have a list of other bands and groups that will complement the punk rock genre and other related genres of music. With such an array of opening bands assembled in one tour, the fans of the artists in each city can expect an awesome concert. Here's a breakdown of who exactly will be joining Green Day on their global takeover:Here's a breakdown of who exactly will be joining Green Day on their global takeover:

    North American Leg

    The Interrupters

    Skating Polly

    The Linda Lindas

The list of bands that will join the tour during the North American part of the tour will include the most promising punk and garage rock bands. Los Angeles-based ska-punk band The Interrupters has been generating buzz through their intense live performances; similarly, all-girl teenage punk band The Linda Lindas also emerged into the global limelight with their bold music and protest tone. Completing the bill is Skating Polly, the sister boy/girl punk-rock band Kelli and Peyton Bighorse, previously opening for the Pixies and Band of Horses.

    Europe/UK Leg

    Amyl and The Sniffers

    Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes

    Cassyette

It will be a European run that will feature bands that are part of the punk scene across the Atlantic, such as Amyl and The Sniffers from Australia and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes from England, alongside Scottish noise pop artist Cassyette. Amy Taylor from the band Amyl and The Sniffers is a whirlwind on stage, and Frank Carter has a notorious history of coming across as quite chaotic during performances. Cassyette represents the dream-pop genre that beautifully contrasts with the rest of the lineup and shares a rebellious spirit.

    Australia/New Zealand Leg

    The Chats

    Press Club

Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.

The bands accompanying Green Day in Australia and New Zealand are up-and-coming artists like sun-drenched punk trio The Chats, melodic hardcore Press Club, and grunge all-female Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers. The Chats are far from your run-of-the mill Australian punk band with tracks such as Smoko and Pub Feed. Press Club have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to warm up the stage for bands such as Rise Against and PVRIS, and Teen Jesus Just wants to fight sexism and other issues with pop punk songs that are catchy as hell.

    Japan Leg

    Shonen Knife

    The Pees

    Motocompo

The Japan leg will feature signers from the country's vibrant and significant punk heritage, namely Shonen Knife, the Osaka-based alt-punk band that Cobain once credited as having a huge impact on him. They will be supported by another veteran Tokyo punk band, The Pees, which were part of the Tokyo scene that gave birth to punk bands such as the Stalin and Motocompo, who add a healthy dose of power pop with a retro tinge to their Big Star heritage. This lineup is seven kinds of special, as it brings together new and classic Japanese punk bands.

The Other Feature That Made the Tour Seem So Huge

Combined, Green Day's forthcoming tour will span over 50 different locations in at least four different continents. Beginning with the North American tour, which was supported by the latest album, Rock or Bust," they will then move through Europe and the United Kingdom, then Australia and New Zealand. Their last phase will take them to Japan and other limited Asian locations; they may even come back to the US for a few concerts in 2024.

Since this tour has been scheduled to be very long and strenuous, it is only appropriate that some of the best opening bands have been selected to perform in each market. Having bands such as Shonen Knife and Press Club alongside the newer bands like The Linda Lindas is bound to lead to a few really amazing triple splits and is going to make for some long, sweaty nights of punk rock to remember.

More than a quarter of a century has passed since the American band Green Day released the album Dookie in 1994 and became popular all over the world, and in the meantime, the musicians have provided their fans with a large number of hits, creating a unique musical style that is considered one of the most significant in the genre of punk rock music. Now they are ready to take their mouth-watering live performance to almost any place in the world with a little boost from their ultra-cool buddies. Punk rock fans should get ready for a thrilling experience as this tour is set to be the biggest for this decade, or century! It's the perfect time to go for it, so don't let it pass you by when it comes to your town.
