Who Is On Tour With Muse?

  • Muse have announced a huge world tour that will start soon and all the bands listed below will be opening for Muse.

The Brit-rock band Muse Tickets, who recently won a Grammy award for their hit single "Resistance, is all set to tour the world to promote their  soon-to-bereleased new album. Summer will be the start of the tour in Europe, which then moves to North America in the fall. The band has secured some of the biggest names as opening acts for Muse to perform on stage, including some great acts to warm the audience up in anticipation for Muse's famous live shows.

Muse will be performing on the same line-up as Foo Fighters, which is a rock group formed by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, during the European leg of the tour. At the moment, Foo Fighters are in the process of recording their tenth studio album, that is expected to be released in spring. This is likely to mean a rebalance with new songs from a yet-to-be-released Foo Fighters album and hits that span their career, such as Everlong, My Hero and Best of You The Foo Fighters are no strangers to paying homage to iconic bands and artists who influenced them, but this time around, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is excited to share the stage with one of his idols, The foo fighters.

As the tour crosses the Atlantic for North American dates, Muse will be supported by two more huge rock acts: Other bands are Queens of the Stone Age and Thirty Seconds to Mars. Queens of the Stone Age, a California-based band that is fronted by Josh Homme, have often been described as rock's hardest-hitting band by Rolling Stone magazine. Their legendary hard and edgy live shows are quite phenomenal. While Thirty Seconds to Mars is on vocals and on guitar, Oscar winner Jared Leto. The band achieved significant success and favorable critical reception as well as a long-term existence of twenty years plus owing to The Kill™ and Walk on Water." Some of the performances of Leto included speeches between songs and performance advocacy for various causes such as environmental conservation, animal rights, and human rights.

For the North American leg of Muse's tour, other bands are also opening for Muse, such as Rise Against, a punk political band from Chicago that has just released its ninth studio album and Welshly Arms, a rapidly rising blues-rock band that is currently enjoying airplay on the album rock channel with its single Legendary. Evidently, Muse is not pulling any punches when it comes to selection of the opener bands for this tour. The attendees will be able to watch some of the largest and most thrilling acts of rock n roll that millions of fans have probably never seen performing live before Muse leads the concert.

And when Muse does get the chance to go on as the headliner every night of the tour, it's quite clear the audience has no idea what to expect from one of the most over-the-top, high-concept rock shows on the planet. The latter also includes Chris Wolstenholme on bass guitar and Dominic Howard on drums and percussion, which has established the band for their energetic live performances throughout their long years of activity. Previous Muse shows have involved complex light shows, visually immersive graphics akin to a virtual reality world, meticulously timed and synchronized dance routines, floating platforms that enable Bellamy to sing while suspended above the crowd, ballooning and finally, confetti bursts and so on. The band is evidently innovative and willing to experiment with the concept of concerts, at least in terms of audiovisual side of things.

Talking about this tour, which is with reference to Muse's up-coming concept album about the war between science and religion based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation series of science fiction novels, the band has promised the audience a dystopian futuristic concert. As to what that means exactly, more specifics are still kept secret, yet lovers of Muse music can surely expect cool approaches to production and stage performance that will give a theatrical feel to the band's music. Of course, more tour features, such as Bellamy's outstanding guitar skills playing during the riffs on his favorite Manson guitar and his high-pitched vocals hitting the high notes, will not be missed either.

Along with Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Rise Against and Welshly Arms as opening for different dates of the tour, Muse plans to announce certain special one-off opening performances in some of the locations in North America and Europe. Who those guests will be is not quite clear but Mun has invited friends and other musicians that they consider their peers and artists they respect to join them on stage and with Muse; it has been legends like Brian May of Queen or contemporary Muse-like artists that Muse sees fit to collaborate with in their modern rock genre. In any way, the best part is that whoever will be booked to open these special gigs, Muse will be closing it out with a phenomenal performance.

This colossal world tour is set to be Muse's largest, bravest and most elaborate because of the powerful opening acts and what will be an elaborate stage setting that fits their grand concept record. Every single show along the way appears to be planned for a day and/or night of perhaps the best rock performances of the 2010s and 2020s. Be sure not to miss it when tickets are out on sale next month. "MMuse and its selection of other talented supporting artists will bring their performance to a city near you!
