The punk rock stalwarts known as Social Distortion Tickets are out on an epic co-headlining North American tour with another punk-mainstay band, The Offspring. This intense, no-nonsense punk festival with arguably two of the most relevant punk bands of the last forty years is set to commence on August 5th in Spokane, Washington, and comes to a close on the first of October in Mountain View, California.
Both Social Distortion and The Offspring released new records with tremendous sales success and are also famous for their live concerts, which is a sequence of songs from their discography. Social Distortion's legendary frontman Mike Ness proves that he's still a force to be reckoned with in the band.
The key driving force of Social Distortion, even up to the early 1980s, is the lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and songwriter of the band, Mike Ness. Ness started Social Distortion in 1978 when he was only a teenager, and the band has continued to depend on him as the bandleader and primary songwriter for more than 40 years. Ness is also a brilliant guitarist who mixes punk, blues, and rockabilly—a hardcore punk growl. Ness is an electrifying frontman, and he remains one of the most enthusiastic and passionate vocalists, whether performing the old Social D songs or the new material.

In the forty years that Social Distortion has been around, Ness has remained the constant, but the band's drummer, David Hidalgo Jr., is practically a staple of Social D. Earlier in 1997, Hidalgo Jr. joined Social D and helped record some of their major hits, such as the gold-certified albums White Light, White Heat and Mommy's Little Monster. Contributing a hard-hitting and strong backbeat to many of the bands most popular tracks, such as Ball and Chain, Prison Bound," and Machine Gun Blues, Hidalgo Jr. shows his pearly's when it comes to drum work.
Brent Harding is on bass and Jonny Wickersham on guitar, complementing Ness and Hidalgo Jr. 2004 saw Harding join the social Distortion band after the prior bass player in the band, John Maurer. He has been on vocals for their last two studio albums, namely: Hard Times and Bad Luck and Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes in 2011. With Harding's stupendous addition to the band, low-end heft to Social D classics like Sick Boys, Story of My Life, and Bad Luck does seem perfect.
Guitarist Jonny Wickersham joined them in 2007 after Dennis Dannell left the band. "Dannell was one of the founding members of Social Distortion, which included Mike Ness. Wickersham seems more than capable of recreating the guitar elements of Social Distortion's sound in their live appearances. Their punk rock songs such as Reach for the Sky, Don't Drag Me Down, and Another State of Mind can be enjoyed during Social D's current tour with the Offspring, where his thrashing guitar work can be efficiently appreciated.

Toddy K. has drummed the Offspring's last three albums, which include the Let the Bad Times Roll album. It turns out that he is absolutely necessary to push The Offspring's live performances.
Drummer Pete Parada signed for The Offspring in the year 2007, after being associated with several other punk bands such as Face to Face. Parada is a potent hitter behind the drums, and the energy is maintained throughout as The Offspring churn out their three-chord punk that includes The Kids Aren't Alright, Pretty Fly for a White Guy, and Hammerhead.
