When Alabama Concert Tour Dates?

Alabama is a country music band that originated in the United States of America and was formed in 1969 in Fort Payne Alabama. The band was started by Randy Owen – lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Teddy Gentry – bass guitar and backing vocals, later Jeff Cook joined them playing lead guitar, fiddle, and keyboards. The band and its members have recorded 21 studio albums, 7 compilation albums, and 42 singles to date. With more than 75 million album copies sold, Alabama is among the top-selling bands in the global music market.

Alabama emerged in the early eighties and was the first to model the country bands movement and played a role in reintroducing country music back to its roots after the Urban Cowboy. Their mix of country and southern rock helped them achieve stardom with songs like Tennessee River, Love in the First Degree, Feel So Right, Mountain Music, and Dixieland Delight. It has been honored in several ways such as being awarded a membership to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.

Now, more than 50 years into their incredible career, Alabama is still performing concerts each year. Since the 1970s, when the band began touring, Alabama has performed for fans in numerous concert halls and other facilities across the USA and Canada. While they are expected to have most of their touring activities in the Southern and Midwestern United States, Alabama ensures that it tours places all over North America. Regardless of whether one is in a state fair, casino, festival, arena, or other places, people regardless of age enjoy singing and dancing to popular songs by Alabama. The band performs lively concerts filled with number-one hits during their time in the industry. More recently, with the unfortunate demise of Jeff Cook in November 2022, Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry have stated that they will still be honoring Jeff’s memory by playing Alabama hits as they continue to perform.

So when will Alabama be doing concert tour dates near you in 2023? Here is a preview of what their touring calendar is likely to resemble this year.

Turning to concerts, Alabama started 2023 with a string of concerts across the United States scheduled to occur between January and June. This tour is known as the Alabama & Friends Tour and has over 25 concerts throughout the Eastern United States such as shows in Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, etc. Some of the artists expected to perform with Alabama during the tour are Michael Ray, Scotty McCreery, Tracy Lawrence, Diamond Rio, and Restless Road.

Other notable events in the first half of 2023 include Alabama performing on the 39th Sandy Beaches Cruise sailing from Miami in January, co-starring at the Boondocks & Backroads Country Music Festival in Louisiana in April, and participating in multiple concerts of Wind Creek Casinos’ Country Legends series across the South in May and June.

There are several more chances to see Alabama in concert in the second half of 2023 as well. Though the exact schedule has not been set with dates and venues, Alabama is usually very active during the state fairs, festivals, and other tours in late summer and early fall. Considering typical years, fans can expect the band to have several outdoor shows in places such as Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Texas, and more from August to October.

It is also probable that there will be several Alabama Christmas shows at the end of the year. It has become a tradition for the band to embrace the holiday season and perform the Alabama & Friends Christmas Tour in different parts of the United States. In November and December, Alabama generally is involved in between 10 and 15 performances during the Christmas season with both serious and joyful renditions. Some of the cities the Christmas tour has taken in the last year include, Huntsville, Atlanta, Biloxi, Shreveport, and others, so a similar roster of areas should be anticipated.

In addition to the dates already planned and usual annual events, there may be a possibility that one or two more Alabama tour dates and other random events can be added to the performers ’ 2023 calendar from time to time. People who subscribe to Alabama’s e-mail list or those following their social media accounts are likely to have the latest concert details and any new developments that may be out there.

Since the band has already released all of their announced tour dates for early 2023, it is quite probable that the fans of Alabama all over the United States will have multiple opportunities to attend their concert and listen to their famous songs this year. At present, Alabama is a country band that has already been established for more than 35 years; however, this band still presents several concerts that provide the young and the old fans an excellent chance to watch Alabama perform. However, it seems the concert touring tradition of Alabama will not slow down any time soon as they continue to pay tribute to Jeff Cook, and therefore, it should indeed continue through 2023 and even more years to come.
