Alessia Cara shares North American tour dates.
Canadian pop sensation Alessia Cara has revealed that she will embark on 24 dates across North America in support of a third studio album. The tour named ‘The Loneliest Time Tour’ will commence on October 9, 2021, in Miami Beach, Florida, and will go on till November 19, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The tour news appeared after Cara was able to release two new songs, “Shapeshifter” and “Sweet Dreamer”, which are likely to be in the upcoming album. Further shows are yet to be planned as Cara is slated to perform at many music festivals this summer.
Cara began writing songs and making music in 2015 and released her first single “Here” which immediately took her mainstream. She also produced several more hit singles to follow before finally releasing the album “Know-It-All” in the year 2015. Her second studio album “The Pains of Growing” released in 2017 is a part of this era which shifted her music from teenage issues to more serious topics such as mental health, body image, and relationships.
At the age of 25, Cara became a commercially successful artist with two multi-platinum singles, four Platinum singles, and two Gold albums. She has also had many achievements such as being awarded the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in the year 2018.
Since 2013, Alessia Cara has become a popular artist with her jazzy voice and lyrics that address everyday issues. She is also credited for addressing personal issues such as social anxiety and self-image in her music, due to her lyrical honesty. Her fans resonate well with her message of embracing oneself and personal development.
Despite the lack of detailed dates for full tours, Cara has shared that there are several headlining gigs at mid-size venues in the United States in October and November of this year. Current tour stops are New York, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and so on. Further dates in Canada should also be expected to be announced.
To get a chance to buy early tickets, fans can sign up on Alessia Cara’s website. Tickets will be available to the general public on June 17th at 10:00 am local time. Given her meteoric rise to stardom and the fact that she has already received awards for her work, tickets are likely to go out of sale as soon as they are out.
The future of Cara’s third studio album is still rather a mystery; however, she has stated that she will continue to write vulnerable lyrics while experimenting with the sound. In a recent interview, she stated: “This time around, I am trying out new looks and ways of producing music, I believe my fans will love this new change. ”
The tour announcement has elicited a raw passion among Alessia Cara’s fan base. As for her third full-length project, expectations have been roused from her two new songs released at the fan forums. Some of them wrote the excitement that comes from the desire to watch her perform live after two years of festivals getting canceled and concerts getting postponed because of the pandemic.
Alessia Cara stayed real with her fans during the pandemic shutdown by creating her own video shows and interacting with fans. She has also been an advocate of speaking out on mental health issues as well as sharing personal narratives Further making her more endearing to fans and effectively creating a sisterhood among the fans.
Although there are more extensive arena tours in Alessia Cara’s future, she has decided to start this album cycle with club gigs and theaters. This tour strategy will offer the fans a more intimate experience akin to attending a concert before their icon and before she moves to large venue venues. Fans willing to purchase tickets from the upper tier and get a chance to sit alongside the stars would be wise to buy them as soon as the tickets go on sale in the public domain.
Still as young as 25, Alessia Cara has a lot of potential as she prepares to drop her third album in 7 years. Selling millions of records, she has already released two hit songs and a following, and thus, fans are eager to hear her new work. Instead, her focus remains clear and focused on growing as an artist and developing change through sincere and familiar tracks her fans love so much.
Given how quickly her first two albums garnered certifications and awards, critics expect her third album to contain multiple chart-topping songs and possibly more Grammy nods. However, besides the awards, Alessia Cara has one more goal – to stay creative and not succumb to the label’s demands or trends.
For the fans who have been with her for so long, this fall tour might be a perfect chance to meet a singer once again while she is ready to begin her next phase. Although certainly, bigger-scale tours are sure to follow next year to promote her upcoming album, it would be wise for her fans to book her early club shows right away.
