When Eminem Concert Tour Schedule?

Among the most famous rappers in the business, Eminem has won many accolades and compliments. Eminem has become a major player in contemporary music and among the top-selling musicians of all time thanks in part to his distinctive approach of narrating stories via rap, wit, and humor and some of his popular songs like "Lose Yourself" and "The Real Slim Shady". Although Eminem is only 48 years old and has been playing for practically 20 years, some of his supporters could be interested in knowing whether he will be touring soon. Let us now examine Eminem's musical activity for the past 10 years and find out whether and when the legendary rapper will be touring.

With just two shows in Eminem's hometown of Detroit and one in New York City, both of which had been his residence before his return to Detroit, the final tour Eminem participated in was the Home and Home Tour with rapper Royce da 5'9". Though there have been several guest appearances and shows after that, Eminem has not gone on a legitimate concert tour since then.

Going back further, Eminem even took a low-key tour sabbatical from 2005 to 2013. Following his well-liked Anger Management Tour between 2002 and 2005, Eminem did not tour significantly for almost ten years. He kept making sporadic performances, including headlining roles at V Festival, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza, but he did not return to the whole-fledged concert tour style until 2014.

Since Royce da 5'9" wrapped off a promotional tour for his 2017 album Revival, the Home and Home Tour Eminem undertook with him was fitting. Anticipated highly, this was his first album since The Marshall Mathers LP 2 came out in 2013. Given that the albums themselves are usually released three to five years apart, Eminem seems to have developed a somewhat predictable touring schedule recently: he tours behind, essentially, every new album he releases.

For one, off his last album ‘Music to Be Murdered By’, Eminem surprise-released in early 2020 and anticipation for him to tour in support of it a couple of years later was expected. However, because of the COVID pandemic that started in early 2020, Eminem of course did not proceed with a tour. He did perform at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show along with Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent which was nearly a 14-minute long show his longest show in the last 6 years. Despite this, fans believed that this would be a perfect time for Eminem to finally start touring again, however, the rap god still has not released a tour for Music to Be Murdered By since its release in late January 2019.

The main question remains: Will Eminem finally go on the tour for his 2020 album after such a long time since it was released? He was the main act for a summer of main festivals across Europe last year, Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Osheaga, and OVO Fest to name but a few within a space of two months. While he did not perform a full concert, he was able to get back on stage after not performing live for two years due to the pandemic. Everyone expected his dynamite festival run last summer as him ‘getting back into concert shape’ before kicking off a full tour, soon.

Given that Eminem is still yet to release a new album in his career and is now on the verge of serving his third year without dropping any, his touring at this moment in time is still anyone’s guess. If he does drop an album at some point later this year then he would then likely tour in support of it in 2024. However, there are no signs up to this point pointing to the likelihood of an Eminem tour in the near future.

Perhaps, the rap legend is once again willing to step away from touring and recording for a long time. Other than the few concerts he took during festivals last summer, Eminem has rarely been out and about since the COVID-19 outbreak. He is still building his business empire and has recently ventured into things such as NFTs and a co-owned restaurant in Detroit known as Mom’s Spaghetti. Looking at Eminem’s activity, it is obvious the man has been working for years and might desire to spend more time with his business and family before promoting another album and touring.

Given that Eminem has attained the status of the highest-grossing touring artist and the best-selling musician, one can suggest that he does not have to hurry with new releases or concerts to make money. For instance, Eminem and Rihanna Tour, inform of The Monster Tour, managed to pull over $36 million from only six performances. This equates to an astonishing $6 million per show on average. Regardless of whether he ever tours again or not, Eminem has probably made enough money from previous tours to retire whenever he wants.

Perhaps it is all part of Eminem’s genius when it comes to his touring and release strategies, however. The audience could be prepared for the next new album and tour starting next week or maybe the last time they hear him performing on stage would be the next five years. However, having conquered almost every other music industry award possible, one cannot fault Eminem for deciding to take an extended hiatus. Be it the Eminem concert shortly or a far-off future, one thing Eminem’s millions of fans globally know they will not be deprived of is his raw truth.
