Tyga is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who rose to fame through songs such as ”Rack City”, ”Taste”, and ”Ayo”. He started gaining fame in the early 2000s with his hit “Coconut Juice,” and since then has released several studio albums and some mixtapes. Tyga is currently on a massive concert tour across North America to promote his latest album titled Legendary.
The Legendary Tour commenced in February 2022 and is expected to end in August 2022. Thus far the tour has taken Tyga to larger markets such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Miami. The tour has mainly been staging sold-out shows and good reactions from critics and fans.
Tyga has recently released the newest 2021 studio album called Legendary, and the setlist for the Legendary Tour is based on this album. Some of the tracks he has been performing on the tour are “Lightskin Lil Wayne”, “Floss in the Bank”, “Money Mouf”, “Sunshine” with Jheno Aiko and Pop Smoke, “West Coast Shit” with YG, and “Splash” with Moneybagg Yo. However, Tyga also performs songs that are popular from earlier years such as ‘Rack City’, ‘Make It Nasty’, and ‘Taste’. He has also invited special guests to some of his concerts, such as Doja Cat during his performance in Los Angeles.
The value of the tour concerning production has also received a lot of commendation. Tyga’s stage performance entails the usage of pyrotechnics, lights, and gigantic videowalls whereby there are glamorous patterns and Figure illusions. He dances on multiple levels with the dancers to perform a live concert feel like a nightclub. On many of the concert performances on the tour, he has even gone further to include things such as water fountains and foam jets that shower the first rows.
Which up to this point makes it look like Tyga’s Legendary Tour is just that… legendary. Audiences have appreciated the energetic live show, and a mix of old and new tunes, as well as the tangible elements of the light, sound, and video show. The audience has also shared an excellent reception on social media regarding the tour, especially the fun of partying during shows. Videos depict fans packed in stadiums, dancing, singing at the top of their voice, and generally enjoying the event.
