Alanis Morissette 2023 World Tour
With over 33 million copies sold worldwide, Jagged Little Pill was among the best-selling albums of the nineties; Alanis Morissette is scheduled to tour for the album's 25th anniversary of release in 2023. Among its hits are You Oughta Know, Ironic, and Hand in My Pocket.
Known as the Jagged Little Pill tour, Alanis will be at many sites throughout Australia, Europe, and North America. She is back on stage; she hasn't been on a tour since 2018 when she was commemorating the 20th anniversary of "Jagged Little Pill. Beginning on May 23, 23 Copenhagen Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Poland, the tour ends on the European side on June 12 in Paris.
The tour then includes a North American component starting on June 18 in Portland, USA. Finishing on July 25, in Nashville, Alanis will visit North America performing in amphitheaters and arenas in some of the biggest cities like Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and others. Then it will be down under Australia, where Alanis will perform in August 2023 in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
Apart from the above tour dates, Alanis will also be performing at additional summer music events. She has booked one performance at the New Orleans Jazz Festival on April 29 and another at the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium on July 1. However, the specified celebrations may be carried on as the year progresses and additional days are scheduled for the events.
Many reviewers praised "Jagged Little Pill" as among the defining albums of the 1990s, hence fans may anticipate most if not all of the songs to be performed. Virtual certain bets on the evening's events exist in songs like "Ironic," "You Oughta Know," and "Hand in My Pocket." She also might play some of her other past-due hit songs, like "Thanks U" and "Everything."
Alanis has said for the next tour that she could not possibly find a greater way to honor, celebrate, and remember this album than to perform it whole for all her fans. Seeing this record out on the market and inspiring so many young women engaged in music creation has been such a wonderful experience. Starting the road and performing these songs once again excites me. "
This year seems to be a great trip around a great record. She is particularly well-known for her energetic concert presentations, which sometimes call for crowd singing. Lyrically, she is a quite powerful vocalist; this is especially evident when she sings live with a full backing band with a rock leaning. Fans are destined for an evening of particular remembrance.
If you are from the 90s, Jagged Little Pill might have been a part of your adolescent or early years. But it's time to once again savor the wonder of that record today. Some of the marketplaces already clearly show that tickets are selling quickly. Get your tickets today before they run out to watch a live presentation of "Hand in My Pocket" and the other 90s songs! Particularly if you were an Alanis fan from long ago, this is one reunion trip you should not miss.
Morissette has written songs in her music that spoke to many young women and helped more female voices in rock to flourish. Jagged Little Pill enabled women to embrace all in one their anger, confusion, desire, and vulnerability. For a generation of daughters growing into ladies, it was their song.
New musicians such as Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish find inspiration in Jagged Little Pill for their work demonstrating its fit within contemporary society. Seeing Alanis Morissette sing it live and on its whole is the ideal celebration of that heritage.
Though the band is probably going to perform most of the songs from Jagged Little Pill, the setlists will surely change from night to night. Before continuing to other iconic classics like "Perfect," "Forgotten," and others, Morissette can start singing "All I Want" or "You Oughta Know." She was also able to toss some of her other strikes on the stage, like "Thank U," "Ironic," or "Guardian."
Alanis will be singing these songs passionately against a background of hopefully perfect lighting troupes, a night of incredible energy. At some of the locations the tour visits, there may even be some special guests or a surprise or two on hand. This is how an anniversary should be celebrated: a legendary record by a legendary musician who defined a generation.
