When Blink 182 Concert Tour?

Ever since Blink-182 finished their 2016 tour, the band's fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the next one. The pop-punk legends are famous for their perfect and lively performances which include most of their hit songs from their years of performances. They became tour favorites after reuniting in 2009 with singer Tom DeLonge back in the band. However, Tom again decided to leave the band in 2015 and was substituted by Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio. The new lineup has also been rather good too, however, people want to see Blink-182 perform again.

Speculations on Blink-182’s new tour in 2023 have been making the rounds for some time now. Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have made general comments about going back on tour again someday. There have been rumors over the years that Tom DeLonge could return, but it appears that Matt Skiba will still be joining them as Blink’s third member and guitarist. As of now, details remain thin but anticipation is that a tour announcement could be made at any one time. The band is still as tight and energetic as before with Ark beating fast rhythms, Hoppus singing spiritedly while jumping around, and Skiba on guitar. Their shows also include scenic designs, pyrotechnics, ramps, and mobile stages that bring them closer to the fans. It’s hard to find other bands that could perform as intensively as Blink does and involve the audience as successfully.

Almost all industry players believe that Blink-182 will announce a stadium tour for 2023 across the world. They have the catalog and the fan base to sell out major arenas. On their 2016 tour, they performed in such stadiums as Honda Center in Anaheim; thus, they can book NFL and baseball stadiums now. Probable targets include cities such as Chicago, Boston New York, London, and Sydney among others. It could also be shown during the major summer festivals in Europe and North America. However, it is also important to note that while Blink initially performed in small punk clubs since its inception in the late 80s, today they are a brand name that gets to perform in large music festivals as well.

However, as for when Blink-182 might start this gigantic 2023 tour, the timeline remains unknown. When it comes to the specific time of the year in which Blink has been performing, the band has been mainly active during the spring and summer seasons. However, due to the large number of stadiums and festivals that they will need to organize, the tour could be at any time in the year 2023. The majority of them wish it falls at least in part between May and August to ensure perfect weather for an outdoor stadium concert. Smaller tour legs might also occur in other parts of the world during fall and winter depending on a group’s specific preference and schedule.

When the tour occurs in 2023, fans can expect a setlist that covers the band’s entire discography, appealing to mainstream and dedicated listeners alike. Some of their popular hits include “All the Small Things,” “What’s My Age Again,” “The Rock Show,” and “I Miss You. ” These catchy, up-tempo sing-along pop-punk tunes have been staples of Blink’s music and live performances for a long time. Old-school fans will also expect to see obscure tracks like “Wasting Time,” “Josie,” and “Carousel” as well. At this point, the band has released so much music that choosing which songs should go into the setlist will be an issue.

Of course with Blink-182, fans also want lots of jokes and funny dialogue between songs as well. Ever since Blink was created Mark, Travis, and Matt have kept up the silliness and very cheeky jokes. The jokes emanating from one Blink Show to the other be it in the form of teasing each other or telling absurd stories are equally as entertaining as the hit songs. This youthful energy is one reason Blink’s music and shows continue to be loved by fans even up to date. Rockstars are strong with the inner teenager.

There are also rumors that Blink-182 is working on a new studio album that will be out before or during the 2023 concert tour. People are looking forward to the new Blink tracks for the first time since the California album and its follow-up Nine released in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Travis and Mark have both stated in the last year that they have been composing and practicing with the band. Indeed, Travis went as far as describing the new music as some of the best Blink has ever released. It would create even more anticipation if one or two new singles came out before the announcement of a tour. There’s nothing that gets fans to come out like new songs that were never sung before to be heard live in concert.

As of now, details are still scarce; however, everything suggests that Blink-182 is gearing up for a comeback on the live stage. The tour appears ready to explode onto massive theaters and festivals across the world and keep fans happy for the pop-punk legends’ third decade. I am sure once the dates and locations are out, there will be a rush for the tickets as usual. Other enthusiasts may even attend several tour stops to witness Blink’s unforgettable performance specials. Old fans and new fans who were not even born yet when Blink was making waves in the mid-nineties can look forward to singing at the top of their lungs to their favorite teenage rebellion anthems next year.
