As for today, Boston may be in their seventies, however, the performers sound tight, play their instruments well, and their vocals are as powerful as ever. Long-time guitarist and main songwriter Tom Scholz is still the leader and creator of the band. Drums Curly Smith and guitar Gary Pihl have been with the band as well and now have over 30 years of playing in Boston. Tommy DeCarlo also joined the group as a vocalist in 2007 when the original lead singer Brad Delp left.
