Brian McKnight reveals his new concert tour.
Popular R&B artist Brian McKnight has just revealed plans for his concert tour in North America. The tour is expected to commence in the summer and will feature over 30 cities in the USA and Canada alone. This will be McKnight’s first major tour since 2019, therefore people are thrilled to see the Grammy-nominated artist perform on the road.
The tour is in promotion of the latest studio album by McKnight, Exodus, which was produced in the previous year. One of Exodus’ major aspects is the use of McKnight’s melodious R&B tunes and the singer’s vocal prowess. McKnight was involved in the writing of all 15 songs in the album and contributed to the production of most of the songs. The first song, When I’m Gone is one of the most popular hits appreciated by the audience during the concerts.
Tour dates will start from July 5, in Detroit and go up to the end of summer. Other main locations are New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Houston, Los Angeles, and McKnight’s hometown, Buffalo. The tour will be over in early September with the last show taking place in Oakland.
In a statement, McKnight expressed his excitement to get back on stage and connect with fans through his music: “I have been craving to get back on the road and connect with my fans again through live music, especially in concerts,” explained Chamu. “This new tour is going to be something different. I will be performing some of my classic songs as well as some of the tracks from Exodus. This is going to be a night of love and great music that you wouldn’t want to miss. ”
That is, many dates of the tour will include the opening performances by other popular RnB artists. Although the dates have not been finalized, previous concerts have involved performers such as Freddie Jackson, Eric Benet, and Kenny Lattimore among others.
In a career spanning three decades, McKnight has sold over thirty million albums around the world and boasts of sixteen number-one hits. The Buffalo native began his music career with the release of his eponymous debut album in 1992. It was not long before his buttery smooth voice and catchy tunes established him as one of the leaders of the R&B pack.
McKnight is famous for love songs such as Back at One, Anytime, and 6, 8, and 12. Other all-time favorites over the years are One Last Cry, Still and Shoulda, Woulda, and Coulda. When performing, the crooner may invite people on stage or go to the audience and perform for some of his fans individually. His friendly nature and ability to engage with the audience create a concert atmosphere closer to a listening session.
And even though he has not stopped producing touching romantic ballads, in the years McKnight has ventured into jazz, gospel, country, and Christmas music. They were powerful enough to make him write songs for Justin Timberlake, Rascal Flatts, and Kenny Rogers among others.
The tickets for the next tour will be available from next Friday, as they always have been. Ticket prices will cost between $50 and $150 per seat depending on the city and the venue. Other complimentary benefits of the VIP packages that will be offered include; a meet and greet with Mcknight. Tickets should be purchased as early as possible because most of the previous tours have been fully sold out.
Since the last live show that he performed was more than three years ago, fans attending the concert can be sure that McKnight has something special in store for this tour. He has stated that new backdrops, lighting concepts, and other production surprises will make this show his best ever. Of course, his world-class vocals will be the mainstay during the performances as he sings through the popular songs and new ones.
It will be an R&B-filled night where McKnight and his fans feel each word and note in the songs. The core audience and those who simply enjoy listening to music will not be disappointed as the singer proceeds to show everyone why he is the king of soul music. When he belts out those high-octave notes at the end of Back at One to end the night, people will be clamoring for an encore.
