When Buckcherry Concert Tour?

Started in 1995, Buckcherry is an American rock band from Anaheim, California, USA. People mostly know this band from these few songs: "Lit Up," "Crazy Bitch," and "Sorry." Buckcherry returned and released the albums 15 in 2006, Black Butterfly in 2008, All Night Long in 2010, and Confessions in 2013 after the time lapse between the years 2002 and 2005.

Released in 2020, their eighth studio album "Hellbound" Beginning their North American tour in February and carrying on until December 2020, the band helped to publicize the new record. Hellbound Tour consisted of more than one hundred shows in Canada and the United States.

Starting on February 6, 2020, at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, the Hellbound Tour was an event fit for a band returning home. Lead vocalist Josh Todd said the band was established in Anaheim in 1995, so they were looking forward to the start of the tour there. The band sang some of the most well-known Buckcherry tunes as well as several Hellbound album tracks like "Gun," "No More Lies," and the title hit "Hellbound."

Following four performances in California, Buckcherry continued on to the southern region, of the United States to perform in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Florida. The band then continued the east coast tour whereby they played in major cities including Charlotte, Raleigh, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh among others. By early April Buckcherry gears for the shows in Detroit and Cleveland, Indianapolis, Chicago, and more.

The first date that could be mentioned as a highlight of the first part of the tour was Buckcherry playing at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood on March 19th. Originally, it took time for the band to create a local fan base with the help of the renowned place in the late 1990s. Their show in 2020 was billed as a homecoming concert to mark the 20th anniversary of the band. They began playing at exactly midnight and for the next two hours played hit songs from the band’s repertoire. Audience members noted that the intimate concert reminded one of the band’s early days of performing in packed, sweat-soaked clubs on Sunset Strip.

The spring run was done mostly in theatres and mid-size clubs whereas Buckcherry went on its summer tour in amphitheaters across the United States. The summer leg was Buckcherry as the opening bands for legendary rock artists such as Kiss, Aerosmith, and Alice Cooper at large amphitheaters. The summer tour saw Buckcherry performing on big stages such as the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, the Ruoff Music Center in Indiana, and the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Illinois.

When on tour with bands such as Kiss and Aerosmith, Buckcherry had a chance to perform in front of an audience who were not familiar with the band. While their opening performances were cut down to be shorter than their own headlining sets, Josh Todd stated that he made it a point to introduce Buckcherry to new fans every night. Another advantage of the amphitheater tour is that it offered larger production value with big video walls, pyrotechnics, and light shows which resulted in an exhilarating concert experience the band may not always have while performing at other venues.

After Buckcherry’s summer tour ended in early September, the group immediately embarked on another headlining club tour across the Midwest and the western United States. Cities such as Omaha, Des Moines, Salt Lake City, Portland, and Seattle were given the chance to witness Buckcherry’s high-energy rock performances in smaller clubs. The songs they performed were not the same as what was played during the summer tour, and they got to include some less popular songs while still playing all of their popular songs. Some such songs as “The Madness”, “The Feeling Never Dies”, and “Head Like a Hole” was occasionally performed with “Crazy Bitch”, “Lit Up”, and “Say F*** It” being played.

Continuing on the Fall tour Buckcherry was able to visit locations that they had not been to in years such as New Mexico, Montana, the middle central part of Canada, and Hawaii. Some fans attending the shows said that it was more than ten years ago that Buckcherry performed in some of the venues. Still, fans packed venues for a Buckcherry concert, judging by loud choruses, constant dancing, and stage dives. I do not think that Buckcherry plays and sings differently for 100 people and 10,000 people; they deliver hype intense rock and roll that get fans excited.

When the Hellbound Tour concluded on December 19th, back in southern California, Buckcherry had headlined more than one hundred dates and opened for bands such as Kiss in around two dozen more. Overall, it has been identified as a highly successful tour that not only served to remind people of the group and their music but also potentially gained new fans. The five members of Buckcherry have been playing together for more than 20 years, but during the marathon tour, they did not seem to be tired.

As for plans, Buckcherry has only mentioned the potential of touring in 2021 assuming the COVID-19 restrictions ease up. Some discussions have been made about having International festival dates and going back to markets they failed to visit in the Hellbound tour. Although there are no specific official details as yet, one can safely presume that Buckcherry would soon be hitting the highways again fully loaded playing the foot-tapping anthemic party rock for the fan base as loyal as it has been committed to the band for well over two decades now.
