If you didn’t get a chance to catch Disturbed in their 2018 Evolution World Tour.

The multi-platinum rock band Disturbed began a massive worldwide concert tour in support of their number-one album Evolution in 2018. The Evolution World Tour made it possible for Disturbed to translate their forceful stage performance to arenas and amphitheaters in North America, Europe, and Australia.

The first part of the tour was in North America and commenced in July 2018 with Three Days Grace and Bad Wolves as openers. The tour was launched in September 2017 featuring the major cities of Toronto, New York, and Chicago among others before coming to an end in September 2018. ‘Are You Ready’ and ‘A Reason to Fight,’ which are Disturbed’s radio-friendly tracks, were a treat for the fans alongside the band’s other famous songs such as ‘Down With The Sickness’ and ‘Stricken. ’

The metal support act in the European leg was New Zealand’s Like A Storm. The city stops were Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, Hamburg, and Stockholm were some of them. It went on till the end of October and the beginning of November with the last show in Birmingham, England.

At the end of November Disturbed toured Australia and New Zealand for a week with Sick Puppies as their opening band. Finally, by the end of the year 2018, Disturbed performed for tens and hundreds of thousands of fans across the globe on the monumental Evolution World Tour.

A Breakdown of One-off Show and Festival Appearances in 2019

After the Evolution World Tour in 2018, in 2019 Disturbed played at several festivals and individual shows instead of starting another large-scale world tour. March saw Disturbed’s return to Australia and New Zealand where they played two shows with Australian nu metal band Superheist.

The summer had Disturbed performing some giant festival shows including Rock USA, Rock Fest, Heavy MTL, Louder Than Life with Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and great bands like Kiss and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Disturbed also performed at Chicago Open Air in Chicago, their hometown.

By the fall, Disturbed embarked on an aftershock tour across France, Germany, and Spain before heading back to the United States to headline the Louder than Life festival held in Louisville, Kentucky with other performers such as Slipknot, guns, and Roses and Staind.

The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour commenced in February 2020.

The year 2020 also meant the twentieth anniversary of the release of the Disturbed’s debut record entitled The Sickness. To celebrate this career achievement, Disturbed revealed The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour, which would have the band playing their eponymous album in its entirety in arenas in North America with support from Staind and Bad Wolves.

The ambitious tour was planned to start in mid-July with a concert in Maryland Heights Missouri with further concerts scheduled throughout the whole summer across key cities such as Detroit, Toronto, New York, Atlanta, and many others.

However, all performances of The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour were canceled because of the unexpected coronavirus pandemic, and they were rescheduled for 2021. Every show was postponed to the summer of 2021. Disturbed released a statement on social media which read, “Can’t wait to celebrate The Sickness with you all… Safely”.

The Sickness Anniversary Tour was postponed to 2021, along with several other one-off concerts.

The much-awaited Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour commenced only recently on 21st August 2021 at the Mansfield in Massachusetts to the excitement of Disturbed followers. The band played all the songs from The Sickness album and songs like “Stupify”, “Voices” and “Down With The Sickness” elicited wild responses from the fans. Staind and Bad Wolves still performed at all postponed shows.

The tour carried on throughout the United States and Canada till the first weekend of October and concluded in Irvine, California. Apart from headlining The Sickness anniversary shows, Disturbed performs at various festivals including Inkcarceration, Upheaval, and Rebel Rock in 2021.

The first concert of the Co-Headlining Tour with Breaking Benjamin in 2022

In the early part of 2022, Disturbed revealed that they’d be starting a major co-headlining tour across North American arenas with Breaking Benjamin. Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin were to take turns headlining from one night to the other. Sitting right alongside them in terms of rotating set times would be rock bands Three Days Grace and The Pretty Reckless. The last words about the massive tour were said by bassist John Moyer who added: “Can’t wait to see all you Maniacs next year!!”.

The Disturbed/Breaking Benjamin tour started on March 9, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri, and will continue through the spring across the United States and Canada and finally in Hollywood, Florida on April 17, 2022. This extensive tour takes visitors through places such as Chicago, Montreal, Boston, Houston, and Phoenix among others.

What's Next For Disturbed?

Moving forward, Disturbed is slated for an off-summer tour in 2022 after their co-headlining North American tour with Breaking Benjamin. This will be the band’s first extensive time off since the beginning of The Sickness 20th Anniversary tour in 2021.

Nevertheless, the fans of Disturbed will unlikely have to wait for long before the band comes up with another list of concerts or festival performances in the later part of this year or early 2023. Also, fans are speculating that Disturbed may start recording its next album, which would be the successor to the band’s album Evolution, in 2022.

Long-time fans of Disturbed are fully aware that the band has always embarked on very rigorous touring in support of each of its albums. Thus, whenever the still-unnamed seventh studio record is out, the fans can be sure that Disturbed will be going on another world tour in support of the record. Of course, if past tours are any indication, it will be worth the wait to see Disturbed performing and touring around the world once again.
