Founded in Los Angeles in 1971, the American rock group The Eagles started Comprising Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner, the Eagles are among the best bands in terms of record sales because they have sold around 200 million copies of their songs. Certified 38 times platinum, their album, Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975), is the most-sold album in the US.
Following a demanding tour to promote the record The Long Run, the Eagles broke up in 1980 For Hell Freezes Over, a collection of live and new studio recordings, they gathered again in 1994. Since then, the Eagles have been able to travel the road even after Glenn Frey, one of its key singers passed away. Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, and the youthful talent Deacon Frey—son of the band co-founder Glenn Frey—formulate the present lineup.
Eagles Tour 2023
Eagles also adopted a strict 2023 tour schedule. Starting on February 19 in Savannah / Georgia, a twenty-three-city tour travels much of the Southern United States in February and March. Following a quick trip to Mexico City in March, the Eagles will stage many shows in Las Vegas in late March and early April.
The Eagles look to be doing around 20 performances throughout Europe including shows in the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany among others, so May, June, and July of the year 2023 seem to be much busier. Following their European tour, the Eagles are returning to North America in August to play in Canada and will have over twenty additional shows in September, October, and November in the United States.
Among the many noteworthy venues on the tour schedule are the Madison Square Garden in New York City, the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, the American Airlines Center in Dallas, and the Crypto dot com arena in Los Angeles. Every city has most performances running on Friday and Saturday evenings generally. Some places, like Phoenix, Boston, and Chicago, schedule two performances in one day with the second showing following the first.
As of Friday, February 3, 2023, Ticketmaster dot com is selling tickets to most Eagles' 2023 dates for public purchase. For fan clubs and VIPs a few days ahead of the general on-sale, package pre-sales are offered. These events are expected to be sold out as soon as tickets start to sell as the Eagles are so popular and most venues have limited capacity.
The Eagles are seasoned musicians, and their performance is usually lively and full of great tunes from the albums including personal favorites. Among the predicted tracks are "Take It Easy," "I Can't Go Anywhere," "Peaceful Easy Feeling," "One of These Nights," "Hotel California," "Life in the Fast Lane," "Take It to the Limit," and many more. Along with including new member Deacon Frey on guitar and vocals, the present lineup also pays tribute to the late co-founder Glenn Frey with favorites like "New Kid in Town" and "Heartache Tonight".
Setlist Variations
Over the previous thirty years, the Eagles have put together five studio albums, therefore augmenting their vast archive of songs from which to choose an 18-20 song setlist. They do follow this structure, however, the songs they go through change in album cuts and singles. One night you may hear one of their early folk-rock songs, "Witchy Woman" or "Tequila Sunrise," then the next "In the City," or "Life's Been Good," a Joe Walsh guitar spectacular.
Usually, during a tour, Don Henley also gets to perform two songs from his solo repertoire. Early in the 1990s, Vince Gill, a new member, performed a country song called "When I Call Your Name." The songs are the main pieces that one can mix and match to create a fantastic set list; yet, the range of material the Eagles released helps the band to vary their set lists and present the best of their whole repertory to audiences.
Anyone who loves the Eagles or simply someone who wants to go to a concert should think about seeing them in 2023 as surely it will be an amazing performance. Even now, their musical legacy and the count of outstanding tunes they left behind are astounding. Although the band members become older from one concert to another, they still provide fantastic live performances and classic songs that generations of listeners have been savoring for more than fifty years.
