When Ed Sheeran Concert Tour?

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Ed Sheeran has recently released new tour dates for the next year, which is 2023.

British musician and songwriter Ed Sheeran, well-known for songs like "Shape of You, "Perfect," and "Thinking Out Loud," has leaked details of his 2023 concert tour. Dubbed the "+" (plus) Tour, Sheeran will be visiting many continents with events at some of the biggest stadiums and venues all around.

The "+" tour starts with many shows in Australia and New Zealand during February and March. Big venues include Metricon Stadium in Gold Coast, Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, and the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin will see Sheeran play. Visits to several of the largest cities like Auckland, Melbourne, and Sydney also fall under this leg. According to the show list, Antipodean runs consist of nine overall shows.

Ed then flies to Europe in May, June, and July after Australia. Although not limited to stadiums, the arena displays include indoor venues while the stadium includes Wembley Stadium in London. On the schedule are Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. He has booked thirty-four events around Europe for over three months taken together. Audiences throughout the continent will have multiple chances to watch Ed in performance.

Then the "+" tour comes back over the pond for Ed's much-awaited North American swing in August, September, and October. Two gigs by the pop sensation will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Toronto's Rogers Centre, Chicago's Soldier Field, and New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. He will also do two shows at Gillette Stadium close to Boston. Tens of thousands of fans in every city would be able to see Ed's performance thanks to such big multinight spectacles.

Besides the stadium shows, the tour is to include arena dates in Nashville, Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City, Tulsa, and Memphis among others. The twenty-nine shows in total will be traveling back and forth across USA and Canada. Following the end of the North American leg, Ed will continue with the “+” tour by performing ten more shows in Central America and South America in the final two weeks of October and the first week of November. This leg comprises shows in Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires.

All in all, the extensive “+” tour includes eighty-five planned performances between February and November. The tour is Ed’s first since the record-breaking ÷(divide) world tour which took place from 2017 to 2019, and which Billboard Boxscore reported sold over eight million tickets worldwide.

Ed is now touring in support of his fourth and consecutive number-one album of 2021 called “=” (read as Equals). Containing hits like ‘Shivers,’ ‘Bad Habits,’ and Ed’s recent collab with Taylor Swift, Joker, and The Queen, ‘=’ is an album that talks about being a father, love, death, and the importance of time. The album came after Ed’s previous album “No. 6 Collaborations Project,” which featured artists such as Justin Bieber, Stormzy, Eminem, Cardi B, and Bruno Mars.

The ‘=’ album was composed mainly during the Covid-19 restrictions and when Ed decided to have a long break from work and touring to address his personal life as a musician after almost a decade in the music industry. He has been in a relationship with Cherry Seaborn since 2018 and they got married in December 2019 they were blessed with a baby girl named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran in August 2020. Two of the biggest concepts for the new record include fatherhood and his relationship with his partner.

Ed has stated that he considers both “=” and the upcoming tour as a new chapter as he moves into his thirties. The fact that he was still so young during the recording of this album is something that cannot be ignored, he states that he has sold more than 60 million albums and 150 million singles worldwide and is now preparing for the next tour which will be near the 10 years of his fame.

The “+” tour is set to deliver the classic Sheeran up-close and personal concert as always but in a much bigger way to complement the artist giant’s phenomenal fame and achievement. The audience should know that Ed will be coming with his loop pedal and one-man band setup, to perform rock, pop, folk, and hip-hop in the style of his records. However, the shows will not be the only shows as the band will be supported by other musicians on tour to augment the live accompaniment. Lighting, video screens, and pyrotechnics will also be incorporated into the production. Of course, Ed will also perform new arrangements of familiar hits like “The A-Team” and “Thinking Out Loud,” as well as sets consisting of songs from his entire discography to cater to both the loyal fanbase and the newcomers.

Taking into account both the previous tour revenues and the large arenas booked in this case, the "+" tour should become one of the most profitable concert tours or 2023. Given Ed Sheeran’s popularity, sincere lyrics, and musical performances, it is quite natural that his concerts are still so popular around the globe. While “+ =” sounds like the next chapter in one of contemporary pop’s most significant careers—the “+” tour will let fans be part of it live and in person.

Tickets for some of the legs are now available for purchase while other legs and venues have not been released yet. Supporters should visit the website Sheeran. Come as the year 2023 approaches. One thing is for certain, fans in the next tour location will be grooving and belting out the lyrics for every song throughout the show. So, do not be left out when the tour is in your neighborhood!
