When Empire Of The Sun Concert Tour?

Empire of the Sun recently released new concert tour dates for the fans to enjoy live music performances.

Electronic duo Empire of the Sun, hailing from the land down under Australia, has recently unveiled the list of the North American tour that is scheduled for the upcoming months, in support of their latest record, Two Vines, which was released in October. The tour is to begin in May in Miami, Florida, and will end in the last week of June; the tour will cover locations such as New York, Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and many other famous cities.

Empire of the Sun consists of two members, Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, who are famous for their rather theatrical stage performances which include costumes, dancers, objects, and videos. Their concerts are neon-lit, laser beam, glowing props, and trippy animation show together with their music. Their music also varies just like their appearance, they incorporate electronic dance pop glam rock, and R&B into a sound that can only be described as electro-cosmic.

This tour came after the dropping of the album Two Vines in October 2016. Empire of the Sun released Two Vines after a four-year-long hiatus, during which they sought broader experiences and ideas for future work, following the release of Ice on the Dune. Therefore, what is seen in Two Vines is a great improvement in terms of artistry for the singer, who can convey more emotions and express a wider range of feelings than in previous works. New songs like ‘High and Low’ and ‘Way to Go’ also have Empire’s sheeny synth lines but they are not as defiant and superficial.

The initial single, ‘High and Low’ was out in September and included the usual stylish music video. Other singles on the album are ‘Two Vines,’ ‘Way to Go’ and ‘Zoom. ’ The album has been reviewed as Empire’s most mature work to date – they retained their campy theatricality but also crafted catchy melodies and dense layers of sound.

Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic music duo that was founded in Sydney in 2007 and released its first single, “Walking on a Dream,” in 2008. The song was an instant hit and peaked at number one in Australia and went top ten in several other countries. Their self-titled debut album was a concise statement of their sparkling retro-futuristic electro-pop sound, as epitomized by the likes of “We Are the People,” which became festival staples. They also embraced unusual clothing and face paints which made them models of fashion in the era of fast fashion.

While waiting for the second album of Daft Punk there was great expectation and with Ice on the Dune, they delivered in 2013. Songs like “Alive” and “DNA” helped the album reach the second position on the Australian charts and Empire of the Sun started headlining at festivals such as the Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits festivals. Their second album moved their music further into this funk-inflected but no less spacey territory and added new topics to their lyrical canvas.

Taking several years in between albums to work on their side projects as Luke Steele released his solo album and Nick Littlemore formed the band Pnau, Empire of the Sun returned with Two Vines, which made everyone realize that the act has come into its own. Up to this album, reviews have looked at it as their best as artists and musicians, retaining the orchestral themes that made them famous but with signs of growth as composers and music producers.

The new album only recently dropped, and the Empire’s 2017 plans include a North American tour. Their concerts have become legendary, primarily because they leave the audience overloaded with sights and sounds. Audiences will be able to look forward to even more elaborate costumes and stage settings as usual for this band, and some more awesome visuals, lasers, fog, and other effects. Empire of the Sun’s performances are dance parties from another galaxy with the help of their five-piece band.

The songs to be expected are those from the Two Vines album and other previous hits like We Are the People, and Walking on a Dream and there is a possibility for live remixing of previous songs in a new style. The show will be broken into acts like a play and complex storylines will be incorporated within the visuals, costumes, and songs. As for what further falderal they may have planned it remains to be seen but the crowd can look forward to a large number of diversions and variations on the theme during the evening.

The bands for the tour openers are yet to be revealed but maybe electro R&B singer Gallant, Australian pop singer Starley or the LA-based future soul duo THEY. All three would work well as complements to Empire of the Sun’s dynamic, colorful dance pop. Alive, they offer an audio-visual spectacle for all senses along with the fat muscular electronic grooves for all-night discoing.

The interest in this tour and the band’s return to prominence means that there will likely be a high demand for tickets in many locations. Audiences will not wish to delay buying tickets once they are out for sale to ensure they are among the audiences inside what is likely to be one of the most spectacular concert performances of the year. Empire of the Sun is ready to take you to new worlds of vision and audio that will not be forgotten any time soon.
