Eras Tour Concert Dates: When Will Taylor Swift Be Performing Near You?
Last month Taylor Swift revealed details of her forthcoming Eras Tour and it will be a 2023 cross-country tour in the US. When stadium tours are on the horizon, one can imagine the zeal and expectation of fans to see one of the music industry giants performing again. But when will Swift be cruising through your city for a concert of a lifetime? Let's break it down.
Finally, after being involved in a public battle with Big Machine Records for the rights to her master recordings with the company, Swift is set to bring her first six albums, country-pop hits, fan, and deep tracks, as well as Midnight songs to the American stages. Starting from March 18th in Glendale, Arizona, the Eras Tour has so far announced 20 concerts within March, May, June, and July of the next year. Even more shows are planned to be launched in the future on this online streaming platform.
Many shows are two-night stands in big stadium cities, which is expected, considering Swift’s popularity and the length of her concerts during her previous tours, including Reputation and 1989. As of now, she has secured double dates for East Rutherford, Philadelphia, Foxborough, Chicago, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, and Seattle. The tour concludes in Los Angeles on the 9th of August for now.
While fans of Taylor in those selected cities look forward to a massive Swift invasion for two nights this summer, what happens to the rest of the country? Well, given that Taylor has done 2 4 night stands in cities such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Dallas/Arlington during previous tours, those locations look like shoo-ins for encore dates.
Her announced dates also show that there are far more concert venues across the South, Midwestern, Southeastern, and interior western states yet to be unveiled. Other suitable markets for future shows where June/July dates remain open would be Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, Denver, and Houston.
Thus, although it is unlikely that Taylor will perform live in one of the less significant tertiary markets on the Eras Tour, she has already demonstrated that such locations are possible – and indeed, unexpected – stops in her concerts even in the previous years. Say when she performed in a show in Omaha in the year 2013? Or Columbus, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, and more during her record 1989 run?
Never say never for your town getting a routing on a future Eras Tour announcement. Given that Ticketmaster appeared to be engulfed in record wait times as well as the anger and animosity displayed by fans on social media, any additional new concerts would escalate demand figures to the next level.
Swift’s ban on ticket scalpers through the use of fan ID matching to that of the purchase should assist genuine fans access the venues. Face value ticket prices have also been the cause of shock and fervent discussions among her followers online though.
What kind of ticket prices are fair to watch Taylor sing live for two hours performing songs such as ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Blank Space’, ‘You Belong with Me’, ‘Bad Blood’, or even favorites from her latest album Midnights? And some exclusive album tracks for the stans and the new album, all together? Deciding where to watch a concert in the high-end segment of the market has never been easy.
But for many Swift stans, it will be worth spending the money to watch their favorite artist back performing across the Eras Tour. Due to her discography which has been released over the past 15 years since her debut, there will always be the older crowd who will sing along to ‘Fifteen’ or ‘Love Story ‘ and the younger generation who will mosh along to ‘Anti-Hero’.
Taylor, themselves being able to see their fans from the fire escape B-stages at every location of the tour, flashy costume changes, a next-level production, and featuring opening acts like Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, and Gracie Abrams will add depth. Let alone special guests which could be expected. Would Swift be able to coax rock star Bruce Springsteen to sing a few more with her after their latest duet?
The only drawback for those attending Eras could be Taylor not going as far as playing less-known songs older than Fearless and Red now that she has rerecorded both Fearless and Red. However, she still included flashes of new pieces in past tours like Reputation and 1989 tours. The Midnight stylings could look very natural with the full spectrum of her previous era aesthetics for some reason.
So whenever Swift finally announces more tour dates to her tour in 2023, the fans will go crazy counting down the number of days left to the tour. From Glendale to Los Angeles and all points beyond, save the date for the Eras Tour concert dates!
