Grace Potter is an American singer-songwriter and musician who came to fame as the frontwoman of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. After the Nocturnals’ disbandment in 2015, Potter dedicated herself to a solo career. She also has a tremendous vocal range and exuberant performance energy; she combines rock, blues, and country genres.
Through many years of touring, Potter has been able to cultivate a fan base. Her fans are eager to know what her next concert tour will look like. Grace Potter has not been very active in touring, but fans hope to catch her live sometime shortly.
Following the launch of her critically acclaimed solo album Midnight in 2015, Potter embarked on a supporting tour for that album in 2016 and 2017. The Midnight Tour took Potter across North America and Europe to perform more than one hundred concerts.
However, in the year 2019, Potter changed her focus slightly and began to emphasize more on her private life. She got married and went on to compose new songs. But the touring bug did not leave her system for long.
In 2021, Potter revealed a string of headlining performances aptly titled the “Grace Potter Concert Tour” with performances in the early months of 2022. During this tour, it will be expected that songs from Midnight and other Grace Potter and the Nocturnal hits will be performed.
Grace Potter is set to start her 2022 Concert Tour on the 20th of January at The Anthem in Washington, DC. Much of the country will be covered by Potter in the next two months. The current tour schedule has the tour running up to March 12th in Philadelphia, at The Met.
The majority of The Grace Potter Concert Tour performances take place in theaters with seating of around 2,200 to 2,300 spectators. A few are scheduled in big theatres and other halls like Chicago Theatre with a seating capacity of 3600 and The Orpheum Theatre in Boston with a seating capacity of 2700.
Throughout the tour, Potter is expected to perform in venues that she has headlined before such as The Tabernacle in Atlanta, The Fillmore in Charlotte, The Pageant in St. Louis, and Ogden Theatre in Denver, among others.
The current tour has only 26 performances within eight weeks. Thus, fans who wish to attend this limited tour should get tickets now before the shows are fully booked.
Although the majority of the tour is focused on the territories in the Eastern part of the United States, there are several stops on the West Coast as well. For now, Grace Potter has only one event planned for February in California, namely the show at the Fox Theater in Oakland on February, 24th. Therefore, West Coast fans may have few chances to watch this tour.
Previous tours have seen Potter perform for over an hour and a half each night of the tour, with POTTER delivering new songs and renditions of Nocturnal songs as well as one or two songs from other artists. The list of songs will probably also change slightly from one concert to another, so people going to multiple concerts in the two months will get to hear a very diverse selection of Grace Potter songs.
Some fans may not be able to see a live concert during this tour, just like last time, Grace Potter will provide full concert videos. In 2021, Potter performed a live stream of her concert at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Hence, her fans can probably anticipate that she will stream one or more of the shows of this 2022 headlining tour as well.
As soon as this current early 2022 tour comes to an end, there is no information available regarding when Grace Potter may embark on her next tour later in the year or early in the next year. Audiences could be set for a long wait before the next full-scale tour for Potter and Midnight might not be until the follow-up album is released. However, Potter does occasionally occasionally play one-off festival gigs or other shows sporadically when not supporting an album.
