How long is a Harry Styles concert?
Harry Styles is now on tour promoting his album, which is called Love On Tour. However, in 2023 he will be starting a new tour known as Eras Tour. There are expectations that this particular tour is going to be Styles’ biggest and most grandiose to date. Audiences are crazy about the shows and rightfully so as tickets went viral as soon as they went up for presale. Another question that fans want the answer to is – how long will Harry’s Eras Tour concerts be?
Considering the fact that many people bought Eras tickets in such a short time, it will be evident that the audience wants as much of Harry as possible during performances. His last tour called Love On Tour included setlists that were about 90 minutes long. Still, that was in much smaller arenas than he will play for Eras. Since he’s doing proper stadium concerts now people are crossing their fingers for longer sets.
To date, there is no news on the exact times to Eras set. But, to get an idea of the potential, one can look at other stadium tours that belong to other major pop stars. For instance, Taylor Swift and Beyonce offered stadium show setlists between two and almost three hours with special guests and pyrotechnics. Since One Direction fans are so devoted, Harry Styles could easily perform a three-hour concert and his audience would still be enthralled.
Of course, the longer the concert is – the more opportunities for that kind of thing are there. Perhaps some obscure B-sides or tracks from his albums that don’t always get airtime? Or featuring other musicians in a particular song? There is no finality to the process, no clearly defined endpoint of an ideal state of being that is the ultimate goal of communication. Not to mention Harry’s ever-expanding discography consisting of Watermelon Sugar and other two unreleased albums, which will provide enough material for an extended set.
Lastly, from a logistical perspective, the crew must consider where and how any large-scale props, costume changes or pyrotechnics will occur during the concert. Even at the airport level, the security checks for large crowds will also affect when the fans will be able to gain entrance into the stadiums. This could delay the actual start of the shows while thousands are gaining their seats.
Talking about seats, even the general admission floors must be properly managed to provide some safety for the fans. Harry has said this and that about his shows being fun-filled. Thus, any schedule for Eras should involve enough buffer so that people can take a break if they wish to or if they have some disability.
Only Harry’s team has an accurate idea about the planned duration at that particular moment. However, considering similar international concert tours and Harry’s desire to be a live artist, a bare minimum of two hours does not seem unreasonable at all. It will likely extend to around two and a half or three hours, as, chasing the largest audiences and the most massive spectacle in his work to this date, he will not stint on creative inspiration.
Of course, whether the Eras Tour concerts are tight at 90 minutes or extended to four hours – Harry Styles is always a standout. And no matter through which part of his musical journey he takes fans for this period reflecting on various phases of his career, they will surely go with joyful smiles. And hopefully, by the end of the shows, their throat will be sore from belting out every song they know at the top of their lungs.
The one promise is that fans will leave the show feeling closer to Harry and his music than when they came in. Based on what Love On Tour has to offer emotionally charged audiences and post-show energy rushes, Eras is sure to be a unique experience, regardless of its duration. It is now only waiting for January 2023 to come as soon as possible!
