Isley Brothers to Embark On Concerts in 2023
Setting off on a major North American tour in 2023 is pioneering R&B/funk band Isley Brothers. Beginning in March and ending in August, the tour will pass over more than 25 locations in the United States and Canada.
Formed back in 1955, The Isley Brothers have had prior successes like Shout and Twist & Shout. Active now with Ronald Isley and Ernie Isley exclusively, they have been recording and playing live for the last sixty years. In their show, they go over their musical repertory of legendary classics spanning doo-wop, soul, funk, rock, and R&B genres.
Following the group's admittance into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is this new tour. Ronald Isley says, "We are quite appreciative of this acknowledgment from the Rock Hall and are ready to start the tour and bring it to the people." We will be putting some twist to it, but we will be playing all the popular and recognizable songs people listen to and dance to.
The First Leg
The first of March in Austin, Texas is scheduled to start The Isley Brothers 2023's tour. They will be a "stand" at the Austin City Limits Live, for three nights straight. Fans will first get a close-up musical experience from these small events held at the venerable venue.
From then, until the end of April, The Isley Brothers will travel back and forth throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD, and Two Nights at The Met in Philadelphia are among the most often visited locations on the path.
The Second Leg
The Isley Brothers will return on the road in June for the second part of their 2023 tour after the May break. This leg will be aiming for Canada, Northeastern, and Midwestern. Among the scheduled stops are the Ravinia Festival, Chicago, Massey Hall, Toronto, The Rose Music Center, Cincinnati, Fox Theatre, Detroit, and Blue Hills Bank Pavilion Boston.
Performances at many open-air venues will make up the summer run, and big crowds of enthusiastic Isley Brothers supporters will abound. Among these amphitheaters are the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit, Budweiser Stage in Toronto, and St Joseph's Health Amphitheater in Syracuse, NY.
The Third Leg
The Isley Brothers will complete their 2023 tour in August by playing Western Canada and the West Coast. The last stage of our trip starts in McCaw Hall in Seattle, WA. After that, routing guides them via big markets like Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, and Vancouver.
Among the well-known locations slated to see The Isley Brothers on their last performance are Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, La's Greek Theatre, Masonic in San Francisco, and Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Three more gigs at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on August 24, 25, and 26 will round up the trip.
Popular Tunes For Fans To Expect
Naturally, throughout this tour, The Isley Brothers will sing their most hit songs—those that topped the charts. Fans will therefore be able to relish favorites such as "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You), "It's Your Thing," "That Lady," "Fight the Power," "Between the Sheets," and "Summer Breeze."
Along with songs from their most recent albums, they will probably include some more obscure tunes known to die-hard fans. Still, most of the songs slated for the event will be vintage Isley Brothers' hit tunes, brought to the dance floor for more than fifty years already.
