Sources state that American rock band Journey intends to go on a huge worldwide tour starting in 2024. After their incredibly successful 2017 tour, Journey's first worldwide tour will see the band perform in venues including arenas and stadiums all around North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
The band will first visit North American venues in June 2024 then go to Europe in July and August. Although certain sites and events have not been stated, it seems logical that the trip will pass well-known cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris, and Berlin.
"We are delighted to be playing once more and interacting with the fans," guitarist Neal Schon remarked. "We are looking forward to performing even better this time, even though our last trip was excellent. There are many great ideas for the show; surprises are waiting and a new setlist is ready.
The main vocalist of Journey, Arnel Pineda, and the drummer Steve Smith—who has a long-standing band membership—will be part of the 2024 tour. Other likely guests include guitarist Joel Hoekstra, bassist Randy Jackson, who recently returned to the band in 2022, and sometimes Tommy Shaw. Schon will always be a band member, and Jonathan Cain on the keyboards will remain that as well.
Along with numerous songs the band has not performed in many years, the 2024 tour will include all the Journey's well-known arena rock ballads like "Don't Stop Believin's," "Separate Ways," "Faithfully," and "Any Way You Want It."
