Beginning the road to start the 2024 World Tour

Sources state that American rock band Journey intends to go on a huge worldwide tour starting in 2024. After their incredibly successful 2017 tour, Journey's first worldwide tour will see the band perform in venues including arenas and stadiums all around North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.

The band will first visit North American venues in June 2024 then go to Europe in July and August. Although certain sites and events have not been stated, it seems logical that the trip will pass well-known cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris, and Berlin.

"We are delighted to be playing once more and interacting with the fans," guitarist Neal Schon remarked. "We are looking forward to performing even better this time, even though our last trip was excellent. There are many great ideas for the show; surprises are waiting and a new setlist is ready.

The main vocalist of Journey, Arnel Pineda, and the drummer Steve Smith—who has a long-standing band membership—will be part of the 2024 tour. Other likely guests include guitarist Joel Hoekstra, bassist Randy Jackson, who recently returned to the band in 2022, and sometimes Tommy Shaw. Schon will always be a band member, and Jonathan Cain on the keyboards will remain that as well.

Along with numerous songs the band has not performed in many years, the 2024 tour will include all the Journey's well-known arena rock ballads like "Don't Stop Believin's," "Separate Ways," "Faithfully," and "Any Way You Want It." Most likely, the repertoire will not include their well-known power ballad "Open Arms".

Apart from the major hits, the audience might expect to hear several melodies from the band's next album Freedom, which is scheduled to be published early 2024 before the tour. Since their 2011 Eclipse release, this will be the band's first original recording.

"We will be dying to perform live from so much fantastic new music we have," said Cain. "I believe the songs' fresh and energetic character will surprise our fans."

Originally founded by Neal Schon in San Francisco in 1973, Journee became among the most well-known rock bands of the second half of the seventies and the early eighties with hits like "Wheel in the Sky" and "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin". Journey's eighth studio album "Escape" debuted in 1981 and is considered as one of the

Journey has been a busy traveling band for the last twenty years even though they did not actively record or play in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Reunited with Steve Perry after their 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, the band also drew new interest in them.

Journey has been on tour since 2007 and has been enjoying a revival when Arnel Pineda was appointed as its new lead vocalist. Their 2024 tour will be among the most extravagant and flashy ones in years with an incredible performance containing all their great songs.

Few rock bands can create the type of atmosphere and passion Journey generates. Having over fifty years of experience, they have mastered the art of the dramatic power ballad and the massive dumb rock performance.

One should expect the Freedom World Tour 2024 to be among the most widely sought-after events one could go to. The following year will release further tour dates, venues, and ticketing details to indicate the start of the journey in June. This one is one rock music vacation no fan would want to miss.
