Rem’s Concert Tour – Where Lies The Promise?
Rem is a new talented singer and songwriter who gained popularity in the past several years. This indie pop artist who sings about love and life has received critical acclaim and quite a faithful following that refers to themselves as the ‘Dreamers’. Nonetheless, since his two highly acclaimed albums, Rem has not had a proper concert tour. This has left many Dreamers wondering: when will Rem start traveling?
Rem first gained recognition in early 2018 when she independently released her first EP called “Night Drive” online. It introduced her as an artist who writes moody songs and sings with smooth tones. Tracks like “Fireflies” and “Moonlight” immediately brought attention to the talent and potential of Rem as an artist. In the next two years, she began to attract more followers due to other people’s recommendations and visibility on social platforms. However, Rem did not perform in many shows and remained rather anonymous despite her songs’ popularity; she only occasionally performed in a few small local gigs.
The enigmatic and private nature of Rem was somewhat appealing to her. It made fans feel that they were hearing something more personal such as a diary through her songs. But it also meant that opportunities to see Rem perform live were almost nil. ” So anticipation was roused in 2020 when she proclaimed that her first full-length album was in the works. This had to be a sign of even more spectacular things to come. An officially guided tour must be near…right?
Well, Rem finally released her much-anticipated first album “Dreamland” in 2021 and got good reviews and appreciation from the critics as well as fans. It produced songs such as Night Swim and Lucid Dream, as well as building on the film score elements that she had begun with Night Drive. The album also had good sales, further bringing Rem to a level of popularity on the periphery of the mainstream. She undertook more top interviews around this period, thus creating suspense of an impending ‘tour’.

This strategy fits her like a glove: isolated one-off gigs are her M.O. What exactly is Rem waiting for?
Experts have offered several theories as to why this might be the case. Others argue that Rem does not like to constantly engage with fans due to creating more secrecy around her character. Some believe legal problems with her first label have prevented more elaborate touring schedules until her contract expires in the year. Although, maybe Rem is just an incredibly nervous person on stage, which is why she has avoided live concerts thus far.
There were short-lived speculations that Rem had started working on her third album, therefore, there would be no tours soon. However, she was recently seen back in the studio, meaning new music is likely on its way sooner rather than later.
The final bottom line is that dedicated Dreamers have waited long enough. However, Rem, who is now a step away from becoming a mainstream pop star, cannot afford to rely on her ALT identity. It is high time for her to pay back a little back to her fans who have supported her through thick and thin. She looks artistically and commercially prepared to turn her engaging songs into performances on stage.
Many analysts believe that Rem will cash in on the hype that she is currently experiencing with her new album and release details of an international concert tour sometime in the later part of this year. Autumn is the tentative timeframe still hanging by a thread and based on her sneak tips on social media platforms. Although COVID issues at the beginning of the year might have stopped Rem from touring, concert-goers are vaccinated enough for large concerts to happen.
Of course, Rem’s team has not disclosed any specific information or schedules for the actualization of this project yet. She has always been very secretive in everything that she does. But interestingly enough, there are some venues and festivals around North America and Europe that have some dangerously missing gaps in their lineups around October and November. That, however, is all hypothetical for now…but also perhaps the most convincing evidence we have for Rem ever giving in to fan pressure.
Therefore we can conclude that Rem touring feels like it is on the horizon given her career progression to date along with market conditions. An official concert tour across the major cities of the US and parts of Europe in support of her third record should be expected sometime this fall. This has been quite a long coming, and I believe Rem finally owes the Dreamers the dreams they have been dreaming of! However, this will probably take some more time as the mysterious lady, who has been singing and composing songs for quite some time has not declared her plans yet. One thing is for sure though – when Rem does hit the road, you can bet your bottom dollar that tickets will disappear faster than the beauty of a lucid dream in the morning.
