Ringo Starr will once again be touring in 2023! Former Beatles drummer and now solo musician confirmed many North American events scheduled for May and June. Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band is this new tour, and throughout the gigs, Ringo will be singing some of his best songs released after the Beatles' split as well as some of the songs Ringo sang during the band's lifetime. The All Starr Band, which features Steve Lukather from Toto, Colin Hay from Men at Work, Hamish Stuart previously with Average White Band, and Edgar Winter will assist Ringo.
At 82 years old, Ringo rocked the globe and kept performing. That would mark Ringo Starr's 34th year of touring with one variation or another of his All Starr Band. The concept began in 1989 when Ringo chose to have a group of eminent rock and pop singers on backup. From The Band, Jim Keltner, Clarence Clemons from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and last but not least Joe Walsh from the Eagles, the very first lineup of the group included Dr John, Billy Preston, Rick Danko, and Levon Helm. Ringo deliberately chooses musicians who were lead vocalists and band leaders himself to allow him to avoid taking center stage during performances. It also lets the viewers experience other hit songs by other bands and artists.
Ringo has been touring North America with All Starrs and that too often in the spring and summer seasons during these decades.
