When Sugarland Concert Tour?

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, two also vocalists and songwriters, formed the country music band Sugarland. Popular for songs like "Stay," "Settling," and "All I Want to Do," they have won several musical honors during their career. Founded in 2002, Sugarland released their first studio album, "Twice the Speed of Life," in 2004. Along with having many number-one songs, the album proved to be a commercial triumph for a debut and sold more than 3 million copies.

Sugarland started producing additional albums and performing in the latter half of the 2000s after the release of their first one. Between 2012 and 2016, they took breaks as Jennifer Nettles concentrated on her solo career and Kristian Bush investigated his musical ventures. But in 2017 they got back together and said they will be returning as Sugarland on the road. Since their "Incredible Machine Tour" in 2011 five years ago, this was the first Sugarland concert tour.

The "Still the Same Tour" was the first tour the band Sugarland went on after their reunion as this is one of their songs that inspires people to keep modest regardless of their level of accomplishment. Starting in Oklahoma in January 2018, the tour ran until the end of the year with more than fifty performances across the USA and Canada. Other highlights were appearances in Los Angeles, New York City, Toronto, and Atlanta, the hometown of both artists. Many of the events sold out, and as the tickets were available, the reaction of the fans to the reunion trip was outstanding.

During the Still the Same Tour, Sugarland also performed songs from their eighth studio album, Bigger, which was released in 2018. Such as “Still the Same” and “Babe”, which incorporate vocals from pop star Taylor Swift. The value of the concerts has also been admired by the critics and fans with complex lighting and videography to support the performances. Several moments during the tour included going to the front of the stage to play a couple of songs with the aid of microphones and Jennifer and Kristian telling the stories behind some of the songs they wrote years ago before they played them.

The success of the tour indicated that the country fans were more than ready to welcome Sugarland back to the scene. The organizers and suppliers of pollsters were reluctant to the public turnout in the reunion tour after the group had disappeared from the limelight for five years. Subsequently, the tour continued to gross over $38 million by December 2018 and ranked among the highest-grossing country tours of that year. As a result of the high demand, Sugarland continued to tour well into 2019 as well.

The Still the Same Tour went on until the Summer of 2019, with additional headlining shows alongside shows at several country music festivals. Sugarland also played at such festivals as Stagecoach, Tortuga, and Sea Hear Now sharing the bill with Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, and others. These high-profile festival shows provided exposure to even more listeners and proved that Sugarland was still one of the top country music acts.

Moving from overseas tour dates, in the Fall of 2019, Sugarland had European tour dates and their first Australian concerts. The fact that they could extend the areas they are touring even further continues to demonstrate that Sugarland was not just for the American country music lover alone. The European and Australian fans also gave their approval as many of them encouraged the singers to come back again.

As of now, there is no information regarding the dates of a Sugarland tour for the year 2020 or 2021. For now, it seems that Still the Same Tour has come to an end, which has been 2 fantastic years that brought the duo back to the fans worldwide. For the entire 2018-2019 concert tour, 1 million tickets had been bought for the tour. Nettles and Bush stated that they both got comfortable being on the road and performing on stage together again. This likely means that while the touring may have stopped for now, it looks like there are more performances from Sugarland on the horizon.

With such a great pace and millions of cities across the country still unwritten, Sugarland doesn’t seem to be ready to stop touring anytime soon. Still, the Same Tour showed that the country music industry and audiences are still obviously eager to watch them perform live and make music again. New tour dates and venues will always be popular when Sugarland is ready to unveil their next set of dates so people can get ready to catch this talented duo in action as they continue to deliver the music and stage presence their dedicated fan base has come to expect. For now, audiences can relive the incredible performances Sugarland has given in its comeback tours over the past two years and simply wait for the next tour from the duo.
